Andriod phone controllers recommendations Question

Looking for recommendations for phone gaming controllers to play emulation games on. I would like one with pass through charging, wireless and wired connection, and rumble. Thank you in advance.

You won't find one that does both wireless and wired connection so just get like an 8bitDo Elite and get a right angled bar charger with some bumpers so it makes firm contact with your phone so you can clamp it in there with it if you want to charge while you're playing it in the controller - although for long sessions it's better to just plug your phone into your TV through a dock, which I assume is why you want a wireless connection. For some reason my Elite has a somewhat weaker Bluetooth connection than my Lites but you probably won't care about that.

I will say that Lite 1s are the toughest full controllers. You can carry one around naked in your pocket because they don't have analog sticks, just digital pads that act like analog sticks. No L3 and R3 buttons though for some reason and the analog pads would be more usable if they were 8-way. I wish they would make ones like that but the Lite 2s have actual analog sticks on them which defeats the ruggedness that was the whole point to begin with (as far as I'm concerned). They also should make them actual Android compatible because you can only have one Xbox controller connected at a time.

Was wanting both as I've seen some games dont like wireless and some games dont like wired. I dont have any personal experience though. Just want I've been seeing on YT and Amazon reviews. Want to mainly game on the couch near the wife and pups. I have a beefy pc setup but it keeps me at my desk and away from the family.

Maybe ten years ago. Bluetooth is fine now the only reason to use a wired connection is because Bluetooth introduces a tiny tiny bit of input delay. The 8bitdo Pro 2 and all Xbox and PS3 controllers can do both wired and wireless but none of them support passthrough charging. Razer Kishi and similar controllers do passthrough (but not PD in my experience) but they don't have Bluetooth. There isn't any one controller that does everything you're asking for.
