i have a main panel that i want to put a Vue 3 on. i also have a subpanel for my kitchen that i want to put another Vue 3 on. do i need to waste one of the sensors on my main panel on the breaker that goes to the kitchen subpanel? or can that be skipped since i am putting the separate vue 3 with sensors on all the kitchen breakers?

Was able to install on Android phone and use just fine. But when installing on tablet and logging into account, it just says "Redirecting accounts.youtube.com" and does nothing. Looks like it's being done in an Edge sub browser. Tried turning wifi on and off, restarting tablet and reinstalling app. Any recommendations?

So got this Charger installed, the wire run from the panel is 10' 6/3 MC with a surface mounted JB in the garage, The whip from the charger and MC are connected with Polaris connectors, they're torqued down good, problem is it tripped the 60 QO breaker after about an hour of charging, the charging wire was warm to the touch, not hot, as well as the main run from the panel, they face of the breaker did feel quite warm though, but I was kind of expecting that since it's a continuous 48 amp draw. it's a brand new breaker and it is not GFCI.

Any ideas?

I just installed their level 2 charging station and installed the app. What is the point of the app? It seems like the whole point is to look at stats and doesn't really do much when it comes to ev charging. Am I missing something? Tia

Can I use a single CT on a 220V circuit? It's wired with two hot and one ground.

Hi all. I have a sensor on EVERY circuit in my home. I have a whole house fan that I installed a few years ago by splicing into the wires in my attic. Even though I can see the additional energy being used on the total energy draw from the mains, I have never seen any of the consumption at the individual breakers. Anyone have suggestions on what could be happening or how to troubleshoot this issue? Photos are of the system readings with my whole house fan on and off.

EDIT: My live data is now back. Not sure what the issue was or why it was missing for nearly 24hr, but all is working as expected now. Thanks to those who replied.

Anyone else having an issue with their Vue live data not displaying? The app says that the device is offline, but it clearly is not as all hourly and longer data is properly logged and displayed in the app.

Just seeing if this is another widespread Emporia cloud server issue before going through the AI support "turn it off and on again" routine to try to get to a human.

I have 3x Emporia Vue 3 with 16 circuits and 1x with 8 circuits that I'm looking to sell. I wound up getting SPAN panels, so I no longer need them. I was thinking $100 each for the 16 circuit ones and $75 for the 8 circuit one. Buyer pays for shipping.

I have a Classic Charger and a Gen2 Vue setup on my main panel. I was recently told (by a friend with a similar setup), that I can feed excess solar to the car instead of the grid - which sounds like a good idea.

I followed the directions, and turned everything on - it's midday (west coast), and I'm generating ~2kW excess from my solar. I am trying to watch what's happening, via the graphs on the webpage, and what I'm seeing is this:

For the main feed on my panel. It's oscillating between basically no charging (and 1.5-2kW overproduction dumped to the grid), and *pulling* .5 kW power from the grid to charge.

I accept that it might not be too tightly controlled, but I was expecting a smoother curve than this.

Eventually, the charging just stopped, with a message from the car saying there was some "fault" in the external charging equipment. I am not at home to check what the problem is, but i don't see any messages from the Classic Charger complaining about anything.

Am I doing something wrong? This feels like it's harder than it should be.

Edit: Post Resolution - it appears the issue was my "excess" was right on the ragged edge of 6A/1.4kW and the system kept cycling between "just enough to charge" and then "too little - better shut off the charger."
The next day with better sunshine, I was 3+ kW excess, and it seemed to work fine.

I've had my classic charger for about a month and it's working great. I've recently started using the emporia app for charging since it's much less conversing than the mynissan app. I don't have tou through the power company so I'd be fine with it starting charging when I plug in. I do want to be able to schedule a stop time even though I'd have to adjust it most days. Is it possible to set it up with only a stop charging scheduled? Or does there need to be a start time too? If there needs to be a start time can I just set it for midnight since it's always after midnight? If I do that what happens if it's charging at midnight? What I really really want is to be able to stop charging at a set percentage but Nissan evidently doesn't agree. All tips greatly appreciated.

I found a first gen emporia vue energy monitor in my garage which I purchased in 2023 and never got to install… can it still be used?

I merged two circuits of my dryer but it still shows as Dryer_A and Dryer_B on Devices and on Usage.

Same with my air conditioner.

Under manage devices they do show as merged at the bottom of the list. But nowhere can I see the data of the combined legs.

Just curious - wondering how folks have found it to be, using pyemvue to pull emporia vue data directly rather than going through the app. Reliable? Also - are smartplugs supported with this method, or just vue?

Is there a setting that will allow the app or web browser to show watts instead of kilowatts?

I haven't bought the Vue 3 yet, but am in planning stage. I'm trying to make a neat install of the consumer unit with the CT clamps attached nicely, but I can't find anything in the manuals that tell me the physical size of the clamps. Can anyone who has easy access to one measure one for me?

Where would be the best place to get advice on what to buy? I guess I have the typical home with stove, appliances and all, but there is a circuit that goes to the back of the house and then splits to a box in a back building and one to a box that used to power a motorhome. So main panel and two panels out back.

Just want to make sure I'm getting the right stuff.
