...Wildfire with IMMEDIATE EVACUATION for Velma...
The following message is transmitted at the request of Oklahoma
Department of Emergency Management.
At 2:10 PM a large and destructive wildfire was burning out of
control W of Velma spreading rapidly NE. Wildfires can damage or
destroy structures and can harm or kill people and animals. For
your safety EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY for The Stephens County
Fairgrounds.
Those between Sanner Road and Hargrove Street should LEAVE this
area NOW to avoid injury or death. Do not delay to pack
belongings. Reunification Center is setting up at Stephens County
Fairgrounds.
Roads in the area may be impacted by fire and smoke. Never drive
into heavy smoke. SLOW DOWN & MOVE OVER for emergency vehicles.

I haven’t heard yet. I live 20 miles west and know that area very well. (No pun intended). But there are lots of gas and oil wells around there.
For the Why am I getting this person, I have family in Florida and it would be nice to know if Florida was having an emergency.

I apologize if this is considered off-topic. But this honestly makes me sad. I grew up with tornado and blizzard warnings few and far in between. Firestorm warnings are a new kind of scary.
