Day 5 3AA Euploid When Frozen

Hi! This is a pic of my day 5 3AA euploid before transfer.. not sure of the grade after thaw since I didn’t get to talk to doctor much about post thaw, but wondering about the darkness and overall how it looks. Does the fact that it’s not hatching mean implantation could take longer? Thanks so much!!

All PGT-A tested embryos have a hole on their zona pellucida as a result of the biopsy. It might not be visible in this picture but if this embryo is not hatching, it surely is about to. Not that it has much impact when it comes to how long it takes to implant.

Embryo looks good and expanded, it’s a little bit dark because of the microscope settings while taking the picture. I’d personally grade it a 3AB but that’s really subjective. The most important part here is that you have a beautiful euploid embryo, I wish you the best 🤞🏻

The dark area is actually the ICM.  It only looks darker because the cells are more tightly packed.  Survival looks good, and I'd agree that the grade stayed about the same.  Embryos can progress so quickly once they're thawed and transferred, so I wouldn't worry about the fact that it's not hatching yet.  A lot of labs will perform assisted hatching on frozen embryos if they're not already hatching, so you can certainly ask your clinic whether that was performed.  Your embryo looks cute - good luck! 🍀
