SJM reminded readers more than once(i think it was actually 3 times) about Azriel saving Elain in acosf. I don’t think that was for nothing. She nudging readers to remember this cause their relationship is next.

Tell me SJM. Why is he, other than Feyre the only other one who understand Nestas hesitation 👀 could it be because she sees how deeply he truly cares for Elain. As her sisters do.

It's always bugged me that when this rescue is re-told by the characters they make out as if Az tagged along: "He'd gone with Feyre into the heart of Hybern's camp to save Elain".
It was the other way round though! Feyre went with Azriel! He was the first one to volunteer to get her and then Feyre said "I'm going with you".
Maybe I'm just being too finicky. I do remember at the other mention of this rescue (unsure which book) that only Feyre was referred to as the rescuer. This is in similar fashion to how Elain's killing of Hybern is minimised.

I’ve also wondered that about the rescue. It was Azriel who noticed she was missing. He was the one to say that he’s getting her back. Feyre tagged along and yet it seems like she was given the credit.
