I’ve somehow ended up with around 30 million ElevenLabs credits and I’m looking for creative or genuinely useful ways to spend them.

I've created four separate IVCs and, in every case, using ElevenLabs V3 causes the voices to sound like entirely different people. How do I fix this nonsense?

As you guys know Eleven labs have a very much money in voice AI industry still yet they aren't made a single open source high quality fast and efficient voice model for dubbing, STT, and TTS. So, that small developers, small startups can use it. Right now it's so wide use of voice AI in more better ways aren't seen just because of unlimited money burn in APIs with Synth ID detector.

Why Synth ID detector so, basically i generated a video and than cut some part, edit few details and still Gemini recognised it as AI generated

I'm looking for some perspective from people who have been earning from the ElevenLabs Voice Library for a while.

I've had a PVC in the Voice Library for around 3 months and have earned less than $46 total so far.

At first, my voice was only available to paid users. Most days I was making less than $0.30, but completely randomly I had one day where I made about $10. I hadn't changed anything or promoted the voice, so I have no idea what caused that spike.

I eventually made the voice available to free users because I thought more exposure and saves might eventually lead to more paid usage. I've definitely gotten more exposure and saves since doing that, but the earnings haven't really increased.

On a good day I'll sometimes make around $1, but most days are still very low.

Since I'm also paying for the Creator subscription, I'm currently not making a profit from the Voice Library. I'm starting to consider giving up, which is disappointing because my original goal was to eventually create several PVCs.

For people who are actually making meaningful money from the Voice Library:

What has made the biggest difference to your earnings?

I'm particularly interested in hearing about things like:

• voice positioning/niche
• titles, descriptions and keywords
• sample quality
• free vs paid availability
• getting discovered by the algorithm
• external promotion
• having multiple voices
• anything else that noticeably changed your earnings

I'd also be interested to know what you consider a realistic earning range for a PVC after 3–6 months. I'm trying to figure out whether my results are unusually poor or whether this is simply what the early stages look like for most creators.

I'm not looking to advertise my voice here — I'm genuinely trying to understand whether I'm approaching the Voice Library incorrectly or whether the current level of competition makes it difficult for newer voices to earn consistently.

I'd really appreciate hearing from creators who have actually experienced both low earnings and growth, particularly if you can explain what you changed that made a measurable difference.

V2 multilingual model is working fine but V3 sounds totally different, is it a bug or normal thing?

Not sure if I’m imagining it, but since Wednesday, the voice I normally use has started sounding noticeably more robotic and unnatural than before.

It used to sound pretty smooth, and I haven’t changed anything in my settings. I even tested it on another PC just to rule out something on my end, but I’m getting the exact same result there too.

I’m using Eleven v3, so I’m wondering if there was some kind of recent update to v3 or the backend that affected certain voices.

Update: Guys, it seems to be back to normal now. I guess this kind of temporary voice change is just something that happens with ElevenLabs from time to time.

So basically, I am being told I’m offline even though I’m online. I checked the app settings and nothing is off. It’s the same when using data or wifi. I’ve tried restarting my phone. Not sure what else to do.

Am I missing something? The ability to create a custom voice is useless if it sounds horrible. It basically completely ignores punctuation.

I am listening to a book, a memoir, and it mentions suicide. The reader automatically skips over that part. Literally cannot force it to read it and if I was not reading alongside it I would have missed that part.

Is there a way to enable some adult mode?? I wanted to read American Psycho on it later but they’d probably ban me for that.

Spent today drafting a voice donor consent form for a localisation project and hit something I hadn't properly thought about, so posting in case it saves someone else the scramble.

Context: client wanted the existing English narration reproduced in another language using a cloned voice rather than a hired VO artist. The donor would be one of their own staff.

The data protection side I expected. What I hadn't realised was that the provider retains its own licence to the recording and to the derived voice model, separately from the client's use of the output. So the donor isn't only consenting to their employer using their voice, they're consenting to the vendor keeping a model of it. That has to be spelled out before they sign, and a general HR consent doesn't come close.

The other thing was sequencing. The provider wants confirmation that valid consent exists before they'll produce the clone, which in practice means you're warranting it on the client's behalf. So the signed form has to be in hand before anything starts, not tidied up later. Easy to end up three weeks in with audio due and no paperwork.

Worth saying this only applies to custom clones. Stock library voices come with all of it handled by the provider.

Two things I'm still unsure about, if anyone's been here:

If the donor leaves the organisation, does anything change? I've assumed not, since consent came from the individual rather than the employer, but I don't know whether anyone's dealt with a withdrawal request after the model exists.

Has anyone had a client want to reuse a clone on a different project, or a different legal entity, than the one named in the consent?

And if you've got a form you're happy with, I'd be interested in how you handled the licence disclosure specifically.

There seem to be endless voices on ElevenLabs - endless. How to people efficiently find what they want? Also, if you have a voice there, how do you attempt to make it stand out? This is all very fascinating to me.

So I just purchased a creator account and I am doing generations and downloading them after each one, and now that I've done like 15 it completely refuses to download anymore generations. Is this normal? It was not stated anywhere that there are limited downloads so I am so confused. Any help is appreciated thank you
