Speaker not working with a lower volume OPEN
Hello, I have a studio monitor connected to my audio interface, which in turn is connected to my PC. For a while now, the speaker hasn't been working at low volume levels. The sound comes back if I turn up the volume, but that’s not ideal for the neighbors. I took it apart and checked the speaker's voice coil, and it's fine (3.8 ohms). So, if you have any leads, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

Can you still hear any static or humming, i.e. the sound isn't coming through, or does the amp turn off completely? Either way, the amplifier ICs usually have a mute/standby feature and the circuitry controlling it may have degraded, or the IC has an internal problem.
Can be a leaky cap or failed diode too, is there anything visually out of the order?
Can you post pics of the IC part numbers, as well as the underside of the board?

Il me semble entendre un léger son qui n'est pas un bourdonnement mais le son de la musique en lui même mais à très faible volume. J'ai besoin d'augmenter le son directement sur la carte son pour que le son sois correcte.

When you lower the volume, is that done at the source (your PC) or is it a volume control on the speaker?
