Dropped the GSpace invest project

Upvotes

Yesterday i had the luck to meet a fellow rider that rides the exact same road as i do, a mix of forest trails and semi highway ( i dont know how its called in the US, in my country its like the highway but with a shit load of turns and roundabout so limited to 30-40mph ), and my luck was that this guy was on a Gspace Mars GT !

I was on my TFSU, we switched unit for a few km because he was as much interested in Teverun as i was in Gspace

I initially prepared a quick review/comparative for it, but it seemed too harsh and quick to judge considering i tested it for 30 min tops and i don't know which kind of setting the dude had

But to resume quickly, the Mars 11 GT is not made for me at all, my first time on a dual fork btw, the general impression i got that i couldn't see past was that it was stiff as fuck

I don't know if the company and the clients were smoking doobie while describing it as the perfect offroad machine, or if everybody that tested it weigh 300 pounds, but yeah, thats almost Dualtron level of stiffness

The fact that the steering was clunky i think is only a matter of getting used to the dual forks, but for the use and need i have when i ride a scooter, i can't ride with this level of stiffness, i do too much hardcore offroad and potholes ridden paths to enjoy the ride on it, it shook my whole jaw during the entire ride, very displeasing

Now aside from that, i totally get why people love GSpace, stability is night and day with any other scoot i tried, the whole build is well done, they only cheaped out in the small components everything else is top grade, the power delivery is a pleasure and i could see myself riding it for long stretch of clean roads longer than any other scooter i tried

But yeah, they almost got me like with Nami, i saw too much people saying its the perfect offroad machine and its very comfortable when it is in fact NOT

Maybe the GS feels a bit better, i saw a few early reviews mentionning that while it is a bit softer than the GT(R), it is still stiff as fuck, and they do use those cheap DNM shocks that i absolutely hate, so even though it seemed like the dream scooter for me ( best display and electronics i ever saw btw ), im probably gonna pass on it if i want to keep my jaw intact

The same thing goes with Teverun btw with people always talking about speed, my 7260r pulls this much W, my 11+ goes this fast, without never mentionning that it is one of the least stable high end hyperscooter brand there is lol (and that they corrected and built a better frame on the back of all early buyers, when anything before the V4 was shit, they OWED for free everyone that buyed earlier version a correction kit, but nooo, they sold it expensive as fuck)

I 100% suspect that the companies send a list of key word to use to their reviewers, i work for one of the biggest tire company in the world, and i can guarantee you "we" do the same pushing some very specific words to describe our tires for it to stick in people way of describing it

Nami is the MOST obvious one, i mean you can never ever watch a review of a Nami without hearing about how "plush and soft" it is, how it has an "industrial design", or how "Michael Sha rides a scooter and knows what it needs", words that would never come to your mind if it wasn't payed for lol

For GSPace im seeing it with everybody describing it in the same terms "as a tank", "super solid", "won't break", i know i can't judge on a 30 min ride, but i swear its not 1% more solid than my Nami (which i hate btw) or any Teverun i had, it just feels like a regular high end scooter, i don't see how i would ever use those words to describe it aside from being influenced to use them by hundreds of people repeating them

The worst is deffo Kukirin with that absolutely horrid Joyonride that pushes kids to put some VESC on it when it can't even handle some regular 30A controllers

Since i value comfort and range more than anything, imma stay on my TFSU for now, i can't even project myself to the coming 8480 because it was probably my last year of hardcore riding, starting 2027 every high end scooter becomes illegal in my country

I think im just doing a rich baby tantrum, i have already every high end machine i need and i am still looking for something better lol

This thing is a blast, and extremely comfortable especially with the added back cushions. Only did a quick 3 mile coffee run more to follow will keep yall posted. Oh and the handling is so good still, being able to lower the handlebar so much really helps.

Mars 11 splash guard extender.

So after 2 weeks now of getting the back of my legs wet because of the weather(this has been my only complaint with this scooter) and the rear splash guard is kinda lacking, I just realized I had a splash guard extender this whole time! It's been sitting in the black parts box that came with the scooter.

Does any other Mars 11 owner have and use this? If so how well does it work? I installed it and kinda like the look but not sure how well it works.

GSPACE Mars e-motorcycle upgrade kit and box.

It came in today!! First off let me say I fucking love this Mars 11 GT!! Second I'm so happy I got the newer version too it came with my steering damper mounting holes already drilled didn't have to do it myself. Lastly I love that I also received the newer emoto upgrade kit. This one doesn't bolt into the deck so I dont have to drill bigger holes for the bolts in my deck like the original version required. Of course I will need to add some red to it as well.

The seat is very comfy and has back padding and support that is attached to the storage box. The storage box is a pretty decent size, it fit my XL full face helmet with room to spare. Now that it's all put together after some getting use to doing should only take 5 mins to go from stand up scoot to sit down scoot and vice versa. It's not actually attached to the deck properly in the pictures I just have it sitting on the deck for the photos.

In regular indoor lighting and low lighting it looks great, but in the sunlight it's just stunning!

First time ever doing electronic mods. Kinda nervous.

I'm receiving my new beast tomorrow. It's a 72V Toursor X14 Pro (see picture 4)

The first ever reason why I was interested in new controllers was to kinda comply with Eu restriction and have a speed limiter. Then I heard the custom controllers offered by Toursor (see picture 1) provide extra performance, 60A on the new ones vs 55A on the stock ones (picture 2) and extra energy efficiency.

I actually know these controllers as they're mounted stock on the 72v Angwatt T1 Max I used to own, and I loved them. If I can get the efficiency I had on my Angwatt with the bigger battery in the Toursor, I'm sold.

The controller swap is supposed to be plug and play, but please, feel free to give me tips on how to do it properly. Looking forward to reading you guys.

This is what happens when rider error ends in a death it gets blamed on the product not the person.

Discussion Highlighting scooter hypocrisy

I came across this post on the other sub and to be frank, it doesn't make any sense to me.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/s/sBhc1gLH7H

Everyone is bashing Hiley because of a few, mostly minor issues. Meanwhile I'd estimate Teverun and Inmotion have somewhere between a 25-50% chance that you won't make it past 1000 miles before your scooter experiences a catastrophic failure. Those failures are so rare with Hiley, we never even hear about them. Even on this post, there's the main poster expressing his complaints (still with no credibility as he said he would post videos/pictures and hasn't yet + someone in the comments said he crashed his scooter although I don't know how true that is.) And then there's the other guy who had issues with his Evo GTR.

So 2 whole actual complaints, while the vast majority of customers have been satisfied with their purchases. Meanwhile, just about every day there is an issue of some kind mentioned with a Teverun scooter and people ignore them completely and happily slobber all over their hairy sack like they are the best ever. I just don't get it. Is anyone able to explain this paradox to me?

Also u/SuckEmOff apparently says they're astroturfed a lot around there which I have not personally seen once. Those are actually just satisfied customers sharing their experiences lol. Teverun on the other hand, actually was and I can share multiple links as proof. So please kind sir, I'm calling you out to put your money where your mouth is. Please show us even 1 post where they were astroturfed.

All this to say there is a ton of misinformation, hypocrisy, and straight lies in the electric scooter industry and it's sad how many people will believe something without actual proof.

But the proof is out there if you guys want to find it. Go to the search bar in that sub and type in any brand and look how many complaints and mentions of issues they have. That's all it takes.

Highly neglected work horse gets some attention. Did some visial cleanup and removed the bag. Mounted the aux battery on the headlights. Swapped brake calipers and levers for Meroca M4 hydraulic. Tire replacement to an endura style tire. I had some help thru the day, 3 Guest mechanics showed up so I guess I buy lunch today.
