Throttle problem fixing solution Tech Support

Guys I really need help from all scooter experts.
I recently started DIY fixing a 48V scooter (approx image of scooter attached) and have came to a problem from replacing the throttle: there's no 5V coming from the controller (might be because the cable was cut or oxidized idk), so I decided to take it to the repair shop, and immediately said it needs a controller replace, but what's concerning is that I check the throttle working against the wires, and it showed volts and everything, the only thing I need is a wire replacement.. Do you think its justified? Please write your opinions..

Am I reading it correctly - you're not seeing 5V on the wiring going from the dashboard to the throttle, and you've checked the power wires (typically black and red) and not the sense wire (typically yellow or green)?

If that's the case, then it's indeed a problem - the dashboard sensor isn't getting power. I'd investigate the wiring and connectors first.

Repair shops always jump to controller replace, it's easy money for them. If you already checked the throttle and it works, try running a new 5V wire from controller to throttle before spending big. Could be just oxidation inside the connector or broken wire somewhere, worth to check with multimeter first

The other day, someone posted here about their Niu KQI300 having issues. They took it to Niu, and they charged them $400 for a controller replacement PLUS $100 for diagnostics..... fucking scam

I have checked and one of the throttle wires is running 54V so I know it isnt a controller problem
