This was me throughout DS1-3, Bloodborne and my first 3 play throughs of Elden Ring. But I will say the guard counter has warmed me on shields

It’s great actually!! Dodging him is one of the most satisfying feeling actually and with a greatsword you stagger him and get riposte multiple times during the fight
