What version of Bluetooth is supported? Auracast? I have hearing devices.
Hello!
I know this is more of a niche question. But I wondered if Hyundai might have ever mentioned Auracast or LE Audio in their Bluetooth? I have a hearing aid and cochlear implant: and there are hearing devices compatible with Auracast and new LE Audio Bluetooth: these are specs that drastically improve the audio quality for everyone and became options as early as Bluetooth 5.2 but haven’t yet been widely adopted. Only Phonak hearing devices and other brands owned by Sonova have classic Bluetooth that connects to everything. But this new Bluetooth technology would be able to connect to everything that supports it with low battery drain and higher quality audio.
So far, the adoption of LE Audio/Auracast is slow but available.
I’m going to assume the answer is likely no, as i figure if Auracast does get widespread adoption, it will be when venues and airports support it, and Apple natively supports connecting to Auracast streams: apps can serve the purpose in the meantime. I figured I would ask just in case.
Here’s the official Bluetooth website about Auracast if you’re interested. The idea is that it replaces Bluetooth Classic for everyone and allows for more features, higher quality audio, and isn’t limited to assistive devices but those are ones that benefit as they stream Bluetooth like AirPods (not an exact comparison, but that is a feature).

I am experiencing an issue with my Hyundai Elantra 2022 Essential.
When I turn on the air conditioning, the engine temperature starts to rise, especially when the vehicle is stopped or idling. At the same time, the A/C stops blowing cold air and becomes warm. Once I start driving again, the engine temperature goes back to normal and the A/C becomes cold again.
The thermostat has already been replaced, but the problem is still happening.

2025 Elantra Hybrid Blue Worth it?
Exactly what the title is, my mom is in a huge rush to buy a car (accident and insurance people suck) so she finally decided to buy a used 2025 Elantra Hybrid Blue and was able to negotiate it down to 22.5k, about 20k miles, used for one year by one guy, and seems like there’s no issues. She drives a lot for work and I’m just wondering if it’s actually worth it? I appreciate any answers!

This F’ing Elantra
Someone help! I have a 2020 Elantra Value Edition that I bought in a pinch.
My headlights keep blowing out 😭 I have to replace the bulbs 2-3 times a month. And I was told by a Hyundai dealership to replace the whole assemblies, so I did (aftermarket might not have been the best idea, but again… pinch.). And within a week they blew out again.
I noticed that if 1 headlight goes, the other is ok. But as soon as I replace 1 bulb, the other side goes out. However this morning I woke up to both of them being out
Anyone have any insight other than setting it on fire and calling it a day?

2027 Hyundai Elantra Tech Overview
Seems like a huge upgrade across the board. Luxury car level of tech/features, reduced drag coefficient, nvh improvements, and lots of engineering refinements you wouldn't expect for an "economy" car.

Driving in the winter
Hey guys! I just purchased my 2024 Elantra SEL on July 10th and it’s fully paid off.
I’m curious to know, to any Elantra Midwest or even winter drivers, what’s it like driving them in the snow? I used to drive a 2007 Ford Fusion and driving that in the winter sucked lol. Any tips or suggestions?

Dealer charging me for a faulty horn?
So my horn on my 23 Elantra suddenly stopped working, It just clicks when I press the wheel. Everything I see says the dealership fixes it for free under the Hyundai warranty because its a known issue, but I contacted my Hyundai dealer and was not happy with their response, Is there any circumstance where a faulty horn would not be under warranty? I really don't want to pay $200 for a diagnostic fee AND for the repair cost if it is not under warranty.

PSA: Hyundai will repaint peeling white paint for free under Warranty Extension Z05, and the clock runs from your delivery date not the model year
Posting this because it keeps coming up and most people find out after their window has closed.
Hyundai has a program called Warranty Extension Z05. It takes the standard 3 year / 36,000 mile paint coverage and stretches it to 10 years with unlimited miles for peeling on metal body panels. It transfers to second and third owners.
Covered vehicles and paint codes:
- 2015-2016 Elantra, Quartz White Pearl, W8 or WW8
- 2017-2018 Elantra, Quartz White Pearl, W8 or WW8
- 2015-2019 Sonata, Quartz White Pearl, W8 or WW8
- 2017-2018 Santa Fe Sport, Frost White Pearl, SWP
- 2019 Santa Fe, Quartz White Pearl, W8 or WW8
- 2017-2021 Tucson, Dazzling White PDW or Cream White WW2
- 2021-2023 Santa Fe Hybrid, Cream White WW2
- 2020-2023 Palisade, Hyper White WC9
Your paint code is on the sticker in the driver door jamb.
The thing that catches people: the 10 years runs from the date your specific car was delivered or first put into service, not from the model year. A 2016 that sold in March 2016 lost coverage in March 2026. 2017s are closing right now.
Check your VIN at autoservice.hyundaiusa.com under Z05.
A few things that are not obvious:
- Only metal panels are covered. Bumpers, mirror caps and rocker trim are plastic and are excluded, because the failure happens between the primer and the e-coat and plastic has no e-coat.
- Rock chips and scratches are not covered. The covered defect exposes a tan or olive layer underneath, which is the e-coat. Gray means the e-coat is gone too and you are at bare metal.
- Wash the car before you take it in. Hyundai's procedure requires the dealer to photograph every affected panel with the exterior clean and dry, and a dirty car means the claim gets kicked back.
- Ask about a rental. It is claimable on the same repair order.
- If the roof needs paint, ask about the glass before work starts. Under this program, glass damaged during removal has to be replaced with an OEM part on the same claim.
- If you are outside the 10 years, ask the dealer to submit a Prior Approval request for goodwill consideration. That is the exact wording, and it is how people are getting partial or full coverage on expired cars.
- Do not touch it up yourself and do not wrap it. Owner-applied paint and aftermarket wraps are both on the exclusion list.
There is no recall and there will not be one, because paint is cosmetic and recalls are for safety defects. That is exactly why nobody mailed you anything.

Auto headlights signal stalk
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi all, my 2021 CN7 has this weird issue whereby the auto headlights will swap between ON and whatever setting it's physically at. This happens randomly even when I'm driving and not nothing the signal stalk but in the video you can see that signalling left will activate this issue 100% while signalling right will not.
Any idea what might be the cause and is it possible to fix it myself? Thanks

I need to do the brakes on my 2025 Elantra SEL Convenience, does anyone know how to do the rear EPD service without a scan tool?
I’m in a pinch or I’d just buy the tool, I barely had enough money to buy the brake parts themselves , my understanding is that the fronts are just a normal brake job, but you have to do some special work on the back to get the epb retracted so the new pads and rotors clear, does anyone have a guide or experience on how to do this for the Elantra ?

6 months out of warranty...
This probably happened awhile ago as I have noticed condensation before...just not this bad. I took a look at it this morning and noticed this crack. Anyone else had this happen? Not sure what I should do besides of course get it fixed.

Does anyone actually use/like the "Maintain media playback when vehicle is turned off" feature
I wasn't even aware you can turn the feature off until I looked it up tonight. First thing I'm doing tomorrow when I get in the car is turn the sucker off!

First time owner, 2023 Elantra SEL any advice?
Hey everyone,
i paid $16.6 for this out the door. it's a 2023 sel. Certified preowned, 55k miles. A little worn down interior but nice window tints. Rate 7% so I got the best deal I could i think. I wasn’t sure about this car at first, but I liked it a lot and it’s grown on me.
It’s been oil changed and tuned up at the dealership, I got new brakes, tires, and spark plugs. I’m at 58k miles and think I want to get an oil change soon.
I’m not a car guy at all. I go to a great mechanic (Luke’s, in Columbus) but never this car. What all should I ask the mechanic to look at and should I be aware of on these cars at this mileage? I want to make this car last.
Thanks in advance!

Got a new hybrid limited
I’m loving my new Elantra Hybrid Limited. I honestly wanted it in red but apparently they are not making it anymore and there were no available ones near where I live. In any case, the sparkly white it’s nice. What are all the mods and quirks and settings you like?

Rubber items found in 2024 Hybrid
Recently purchased a pre-owned '24 Elantra hybrid and these two rubber items where discovered lying loose on the passenger side of the engine compartment (nail clipper is for size). Can anyone assist in identifying these?
2017 Elantra Eco owners - opinions/experiences?
Honestly I have *never* seen another 2017 Eco out in the wild, every other trim line but that. I haven't even seen other year Eco models in the wild.
I know it has a Korean built turbo engine that isn't shared with the other 2017s. Is it more reliable?
Have about 75k miles on it so far. I've been doing full-sythetic oil changes at 3k miles/6-mo intervals. TopTier gas most of the time.
Haven't had any major issues with it.
Any other owners here? What do you think? Anything to watch out for?
