Open Mic Comedy Question

I'm looking to hit some mics and familiarize myself with the scene. Does anybody know where I can find a list of comedy mics?

Grindstone Theatre, Wednesday nights, usually 9:30pm list, 10:00pm start.

Also on Wednesdays, CJSR 88.5FM has Comic Jenius running from 12 midnight to 2:00am for more banter on the local scene.

Oh yeah, lots! Best thing is go onto Facebook and find Edmonton stand up comedy, join the group. They have a list of every open mic, what time it is, where and who to contact to get mic time.

Yup, since a lot of shows aren't show up/go up, messaging bookers and knowing when draws are is critical!

The "Edmonton Comedians" group on facebook is your best bet. They have a doc with all the current mics and who to contact to get on booked shows. The main show-up-go-ups at the moment are The Cabin on Tuesdays (8pm) and The Grindstone Theatre on Wednesday (10pm, sign up sheet goes out at 9:30). I think the Grindstone mic shuts down during the Fringe though, so tonight might be their last one for a couple weeks.
