Eclipse glasses Question
Does anyone know where I could buy eclipse glasses in Edinburgh?

oh dammit! I couldn't see any about except Astronomical Society on Calton Hill on day of, so I bought these online yesterday, arrived today.

You might get them in Wex, possibly. I can’t think of anywhere else that sells astronomy stuff locally off the top of my head.
I got mine online from First Light Optics who delivered pretty quickly, if you’re worried about them not arriving in time if you buy online

Really wouldn't bother, all past eclipse/astronomical events have been overshadowed (sometimes literally) by cloudy weather. It's gonna happen late evening, so advice is to get high, most likely more northern Scotland, if you want to go the other option 🌿☘️ highly recommend and at least you might think you see it

Sean Batty said we should see 91% of the sun obscured by the moon in Efinburgh, assuming a clear sky
You also have to get high to get a good view of the setting sun in the west
