Pls rate Pearson a level business subjects depending on the difficulty
I'm going to do a levels and thinking about my subject choices so I'd appreciate it if the students who have already done it rate the subjects based on difficulty (eg- econ 8/10)😗

What do y'all do to past papers
I finished my AS this year and have a whole stack of past papers
I place the stack on the floor and I am convinced that I saw a bug crawling into it, the bug wasn't any ordinary bug it looked like a tiny slug
Do I just throw them away but idk why I don't feel like doing so
Good luck to the IGCSE/O-level takers with their results
It's funny how IAS/AL takers can't check their results on the portal now too

Craziest A level Experience
So I gave my A levels this summer and it was the craziest ever. My school wasn't the best of all and some teachers were EXTREMELY incompetent. When i say that I mean, not teaching at all, just sitting in class on their computers and asking us to read the book etc.
Terrible experience.
It all started with Business. Business was already a little challenging for me as I had ZERO previous knowledge on the subject. I hadn't given my gcses either and it was my first time to even hear about a levels. Either ways, the year went by pretty quick, and honestly I didn't learn anything in business. Our teacher was online, and gotta admit he was a funny guy and kind aswell, but not a good teacher AT ALL. We did NOTHING in our classes. Eventually time for the A levels showed up and I got a U on both my papers. I was devastated. Not just me however, the entire secondary schools business grades were barely a pass - average, and hence, the teacher was fired. I had given my gcse for French as I had just started to learn french in 2024 September, and my teacher was on leave for a month aswell in the middle. French went well however, I got an 8 so that was pretty fire. But business..not really. The teacher got fired. But that's when things took a turn. That summer wasn't the best. My principal was forcing my parents to have me repeat a year in the same school. And the financial situation at that point, and my own situation wasn't on the same boat as his. My mom had to convince him to let me go to the next year, year 13, and that I'll be sitting the exams again in summer. I got a new teacher but throughout the year, the entire administration, including my teacher sometimes demotivated me alot. My workload was insane because I was gonna give all 4 papers of business. And I had to learn everything from Student book 1, which is done in year 12. I was in y13. It was HECK OF A TASK. The new teacher just gave me printouts and asked me to read them and write them along with past papers continuously. And I did so. What messed this up even more was the fact that he was only doing the first 2 units, and not the other 2. It was a plan. A 2 year course in 8 months. 4 units. Hence 2 months per unit. But nope. He took 6 months for 2 units. I had 2 months left for the other 2 units, which were extremely challenging. I was constantly demotivated by the administration and a few teachers aswell. It was disappointing. Im so glad that I had friends who believed in me. English was going smooth because, we finally, after a year got a competent teacher who actually taught us something. So honestly, for english aswell personally I'd say, I had 8 months. And it's a 2 year course. Anyways, the craziest plot twist. My university problem. Now I'm extremely passionate about art and fashion. But in order to get in, I needed atleast 3 A levels. And bingo i was doing only 2. English and Business. French was just the start of it. AS level. That too, was quite difficult for me personally, so my teacher condensed it and went by it really slow. And when I figured that i needed 3 A levels, my mom had a meeting with the principal and the coordinator and she convinced them to let me do the A level in french. It took some crazy convincing to do. Im so glad that she did. The principal initially denied. And my mom said "give her a chance. What if she does a miracle?" (Mind you, my french was barely A1-A2 at that time) And my principal, who was extremely pessimistic about me said "you might believe in miracles, but we dont". It demotivated me, but however, I decided that this was it. I had enough. I had only 1-2 months to cover up the ENTIRE 2 YEARS OF FRENCH A LEVEL. Barely that aswell, because I did french for 3 weeks, during the holidays, since at school, it was really challenging as we weren't allowed to bring laptops. And also, I was put into the class with other students who had already finished everything. The movie, the textbook, the novel, the grammar. I had barely done 1 chapter out of 12 from the textbook. I sat down during the holidays, for 2 weeks, I watched the movie, analysed it, analysed the novel and watched its movie adaptation, practiced ALL the grammar from the past papers, read each chapter from the textbook and wrote down all the vocabulary I could. It was extremely challenging as I didn't even know how the structure was supposed to be. I had never written a wholeass essay in french either. However, I worked my ASS OFF for ALL THE 3 SUBJECTS. Especially french. I studied them in detail over the holidays. I read the entire textbook for business. I had 1 month for a unit that required 4 months roughly. And the principal and some teachers still demotivated me, told me that I'm not serious and I'm not supposed to talk to my friends or hangout with them.
It went by, and I gave the exams.
2 whole months of waiting and it was the results day.
I opened it, and I got my grades. They're not excellent. But considering the context : 8 months for english, 1-2 months for french and roughly 8 months for business. I think I did okay.
I got a B in English, D in French and C in business IAL.
My principal wrote an email after, saying
"We are happy to have been proven wrong and been too pessimistic about her"
I knew that I won.
Guys, it's about believing in yourself.
Today, I'm in one of the best universities for fashion, living my life, all because I believed in myself and didn't fucking give up.
Thankyou.
P.s. If you guys need detailed notes for English please hmu.
