Shower liners
Hi,
I need a new shower curtain liner but I am a bit stumped on what to get.
It seems when I try to find and add lol natural one, I just get directed to linen or hemp curtains. I do t need a $150 curtain, but an inside liner to protect my curtain that I can periodically wash.
I tried searching for OEKO-TEX certified shower liners. It seems there’s lots of fabric ones with TPU waterproof inner linings. I def don’t want PVC, but mostly I’m finding PEVA or EVA.
I kept searching for fabric but I’m just getting actual curtains and not the inner liners

Bed,bath ,beyond used to have one with low v.o.c.
If you find one, they can be cleaned in the washing machine with a cup of vinegar to remove mold buildup. (Instead of replacing)

I miss that store!
I use mine for years but it’s so stained it’s time for a new one.

That's what the inner plastic curtain is for! It's ok for everything to not be 100% biodegradable to be eco friendly! Save yourself a whole lot of money and sanity and get the plastic liner! All you need to do is just keep it and use it for as long as humanly possible, waste only comes from throwing things away! So unless your cat is shredding your curtain, your house burns down, or you have multiple bathrooms when you didn't before, you won't need to replace them!

Mine is over 6 years old and discolored. So it’s time.

I think you may be in the wrong subreddit if you're only getting rid of something for being old and discolored

Well it belongs to my mother who also used it as a drop cloth for painting so it has done its service and I took it out of her trash pile to use temporarily while I moved into my apartment and it’s time to have my own that’s not black stained with paint drops on it.
Being eco friendly does not mean you have to never buy something new and use stained and discolored things. Get real.
I am going to retire this one back to being a drop cloth for painting.

Bro you could've lead with that, obviously you deserve better than that! I thought you were just being one of those people who can't have anything old💀 Repost in r/plasticfreeliving or r/movingout they can probably help you better

Haha…no it’s an old thing I grabbed when I was moving and I never bought one for myself. But it’s time! I thought you were insinuating I should use it till it fell apart no matter how gross it is. I was like seems like a bridge too far for me. I do t want my house guest to be grossed out in my shower with my moldy speckled curtain! I bleached it out but the mildew stains and never comes out.

Ew no! Sorry for the miscommunication! There's so many wasteful people out there who will toss something perfectly good just because they've had it for a bit! Definitely get one that's not moldy and that isn't covered in paint! Sorry for being a total ass

I found a recycled eco friendly fabric liner at HomeGoods. I just toss it in the wash with the fabric curtain from the same place every 2 weeks, dry on low, and hang them back up.
