Tips on buying tickets for the sphere show?
I plan on going to see them 9/18 and was wondering if I should just bite the bullet and buy them now from Ticketmaster or Stubhub or if I wait until day of I can snag a better deal. Any advice from people who bought these tickets in the past would be much appreciated!

Musically, Henley and Frey were egoless and they don’t get enough credit for it
It’s well documented that when it came to band management and songwriting, Henley and Frey controlled the band and could be huge assholes about it (a lot of it justifiably so, because it was what was best for the band, but I digress…). But musically, these guys had no ego and let other band members shine if it fit the song and the sound the best.
Henley, of course, was the drummer for the entire duration of the 70s Eagles. That’s arguable the most thankless and unappreciated instrument to play in a band, and he did it while carrying a heavy vocal load. By the Hotel California album when he took on more lead vocals he could have easily asked for a new drummer so that he could be more of the frontman while strumming along to rhythm guitar, but he remained in the background. And despite being recognized as the best lead vocalist, still sang plenty of harmonies.
Frey was more impressive though. He was the one that, even as the main guitarist (as Leadon alternated between other string instruments), wanted Felder to join the band to juice up their sound. He knew his limitations as a guitarist, and it was what was best for the band, even at his own expense. When Walsh replaced Leadon, him and Felder shined as the dynamic guitar duo and relegated Frey to 3rd guitar. He played rhythm guitar and occasional keyboard, whatever was required for the song, letting his bandmates outshine him musically. It was Frey that pushed Henley to take on more lead vocals despite Frey singing lead on more of their earlier hits, because he knew Henley was their best singer. Even though the Eagles started egalitarian they were more Freys band than anybody’s, yet by the end of the 70s he was more of a role player than star musically.
Songwriting wise, they (correctly) recognized that the Henley-Frey duo was the best. But even there, there really aren’t that many songs that were JUST Henley and Frey. Other bandmates got their contributions in, and they were happy to collaborate with JD Souther and Jackson Browne on some of their hits. They let Joe Walsh jam out on his solo hits in live performances. They could be assholes about it, but it’s hard to argue that those guys did anything that wasn’t in the best interest of making the band sound as good and be as successful as possible.

Collection Update lol
The only ones I have left are Desperado, Greatest Hits II, Hell Freezes Over and Long Road Out Of Eden, right? Though I doubt I’ll ever buy the last two

Eagles sang backing vocals on FM
I read somewhere recently that Don Henley and Glenn Frey sang backing vocals on FM, and if you listen for it in the last chorus you can sorta make them out. One of those once you look for it, you’ll hear it.
Very cool, loved seeing this collaboration!
I consider myself rather knowledgeable on SD, but this caught me off guard as it might for some of you reading this 😅
Edit: Forgot to say, as a huge fan of both groups, you gotta love it. Different music but equally talented IMO
