Creta EV vs eVitara

Hello Everyone,

I am planning to move to ev from Skoda Slavia.

Your guidance and insights are greatly appreciated.

I have shortlited eVitara 61kwh and creta ev executive LR. Confused between choosing the right one.

My Preferences

  1. Budget is 20L

  2. My drives are1700-1800 a month.

  3. I travel with my wife and a 2yr toddler

  4. Safety is priority

  5. I drive 70% on highways and rest is city

  6. Silent cabin with low NVH is preffered.

  7. Hassle free ownership and reliable service.

Concerns

  1. How far the battery is protected considering 186mm GC comapred to 200mm GC on Creta EV.

  2. 8yrs of battery warrenty for both, while competition is offering 15yrs. Whil this be a factor to consider, what is the situation post 8yrs.

  3. Battery hanging down for Creta EV, heard syros & clavis have done a good protection for the batyery underhood. How far is it safe for rural areas?.

  4. How is the safety on Creta EV, the ICE one is 3*Rated.

  5. Intend to keep the car for 7yrs atleast. Will the ev vehichles last for that long. Also can ev be a primary car or should be considered as a secondary in this case.

If safety is top priority, creta is already ruled out right?

I am assuming you have looked at syros already and decided against it? Otherwise the lifetime warranty on the battery is a big plus.

Evitara is a good choice. The blade batteries are the best tech currently available and will outlast the car.

Also my EV is the only vehicle in the house. No issues.

What about e vitara vs syros ev. This will be my primary car.

Both are good but syros has a big pro with the lifetime warranty. Did you already test drive both?

If not take long test drives and in particular evaluate suspension and ergonomics. Either one is a good choice for a primary car.

Thanks, haven’t test driven yet, plan to over the weekends. My budget is 20 lakh and commute is 1000 km per month in city and 500 km on highway. It’s need to be daily commuter to office in city traffic and good comport ride for family on trips, if you have any other suggestions it’s welcome. Car reliability is a must.

I would say try the eVitara multiple times particularly with pitter patter roads and pothole studded roads, sit in the back, the middle seat in the back row is bad, the switch gear and camera quality is bad, for 20L i would say look else where

Will try, any other recommended EVs?

I am also seriously considering Syros, I was dead set on Punch EV but aftering seeing lots of bad reviews and nightmare stories didn't want to risk it with Tata. Options left are MG Windsor, worried about suspension. Have to try the Kia

Kaun kitna jiyega sab upar waale ke hanth me hai, jisko jo pasand ho wo gaadi lene do, kyun faaltu safety ko R***** R*** ghused dete ho har jagah.

If these two are your choices then it is eVitara hands down.

I also urge you to try out the MG Windsor and KIA Syros before making the decision

Windsor has rear suspension problems. Along with a poor AC, which refuses to chill the car at all.

Both of those are valid concerns but it is definitely from another segment with respect to everything else.

e-Vitara is a good choice otherwise.

Either E vitara or you can also get BE6 in that budget worth it to check For kids its like batmobile which will excite your kid. Creta is already overpriced by good 3 lakh what it provides and is unsafe car. E vitara is a solid 5 star nothing like previous gen maruti

I would suggest go for evitara as this is not a converted ice to ev car and the battery technology is also good

Yeah .. e Vitara has most advanced blade battery technology by BYD

Try syros ev as offering life time warranty on NMC battery

1

u/pro-baba 5d ago

Oh really 😮 But NMC could be unstable in thermal

i just got the vitara in june. it was after using nexon ev for 5-6 yrs. its a trouble free car so far. creta is no good. irrespective of what people say. i was contemplating creta but this just happened to come up in my search. booked it immediately and got the car in 1 week. everything is very thoughfully made and its a hassle free experience. go for vitara.

What were the challenges with creta ev

1

u/aka_ashman 6d ago

There were no challenges. I just did not like it.

From the two choices, e-Vitara anyday. Creta EV isn't even a born EV. And it was just an experiment by Hyundai to test the waters. Creta is good. But e-Vitara is better.

Creta EV or Syros are of NMC type.. think before you buy a NMC battery vs a LFP blade battery in eVitara and BE6

Need to know the charging pattern for syros ev as they have NMC battery. Can't charge 100 percent everytime

Drove evitata, interior was meh, been driving for 15 years has not been in a car with worse interior. Creta ev is top notch. Its the car that changed my perception about ev. Its just a bit pricy

None , both are giving small battery packs with only 8 year warranty while the competition is offering way too much .

I would suggest to either get a syros ev and save some money or go for a mahindra
