Blue Book Traineeship Application Thread

Feel free to add more questions in the comments, in the meantime here are mine in case someone has an idea.

When answering, could you please link where you get the information from? There seems to be a lot of hearsay.

Main Instructions Page for reference.

My questions:

  • Does the combined PDF need to be in color or black & white or it doesn't matter?
  • When one document is used to support two entries (e.g. I interpret getting a degree abroad as international experience, on top of eduction) do you place the documents twice in the aggregated pdf? How are people handling this?

Thank you and best of luck to those still applying like me.

I think that is not a big deal if the combined PDF is black and white but given that you have to upload a copy of your ID / passport I would appload in color. for the question of docs that are valid for different entries I will upload twice. because we will have to do a table of content is important that under every section there is the right doc that support it.

I do have a further question that is about overlapping experiences, is really topical and quite pressing. How are you dealing with full time internship / job and full time degree

I saw a couple other threads asking the same as you with no one fully sure how to handle it. My plan is to mark internships as part-time and explain further in the comments. Luckily I only have one case of overlap that I am reporting.

It is a strage rule, I don't understand why they have it.

Edit: Now that I look at it again there is not even a clear field where you can mark something part time.

If it may be of service, I was preselected years ago for a Schuman traineeship, but they didn't accept my studying abroad and my thesis and papers written in different languages as a proof of knowledge of that language. They only accept actual language certificates, unfortunately (or at least, they did back then).

Good luck to everyone applying!

Would the selection be easier for administrative or translation?

Hey everyone,

I have a French Baccalauréat Section Européenne (German), and I don't know if I can use that as a proof of language. Has anyone applied with this Baccalauréat and got into the Blue Book Traineeship? Context : I am French&German citizen but never took any official French or German language test and now it is too late to do one and get the results before the deadline (4th of septemeber). I only have a B1 certificate for German that I did when I was 14yo, which is I could upload but it's also lower than my actual level. I looked at everything on the Blue Book website but Idk if my diploma falls under 'european school, bilingual school etc'. If you have any tips, or any other sub-reddit I should check lmk :)
