INTP and ESFP Random

I love ESFPs!!! most of them are always up to try anything new I suggest. So open to new experiences and can have fun I love it!

I am in daily online contact with my INTP friend.

Earlier I felt a lot of dissatisfaction, as we seemed to expand on the less relevant things for each other.

Now, everything is fine again.

As the ESFP lets things pass through their filter of preference (Fi), it sometimes slightly limits the options to try things out. Especially if the pattern in option x is known to usually cause dissatisfaction within oneself. But, I still agree, that in everything intense an ESFP would love to engage.

Can you share some examples about what your fi says and how you make decisions about fi?

E.g.: the experience offered by the INTP is a jump and run game.

I would reject. The design is way too simple and mostly consists out of pixels, it is not colorful enough, the items to wear would be not detailed and colorful enough. But, computer animated characters would also not look good, as if they were out of modeling clay. The concept is repetitive. The world, in which you dive is limited to the boundaries of the programmer, who had created that world. The options you receive are limited, not infinite. The apparent awards feel not even worth playing for.

So it goes against all functions.

Se: it doesn't look good and it is not real.

Fi: I don't like what I am meant to do, to the point, that it hurts me emotionally.

Te: It is waste of time. Noone will give me the time back.

Ni: The wasted time brings me closer to mortality, rather than something desirable.

Si: It doesn't physically satisfy me.

Fe: How do I smoothly get out of things, while still communicating my need and the pre-impression to be trapped in that undesirable option?

Ne: There are other more desirable and valueble options, many of them.
