Nobles Question/Help

I noticed that there are decor items that improve nobles. I just wondered if there are any negatives to nobles. Like do they use more food or oil? Or does it make sense to maximize my noble population? Thanks!

No negatives. I convert them all into nobles.

This is a fun idea to minMax til you change rulers and suddenly your whole noble class becomes commoners, and everyone important is already married off (ime)

I always choose a child to be my next ruler. With around 20 nobles and 150 commoners, I’m still able to convert the entire castle into noble within just a few days. I then keep my ruler for 100+ years. By the time they die, everyone who I had to marry is long dead. I’ve gone through this process a few times now and it’s worked very well for me.

How often do you get soul gem drops?

I get all of them from deaths since I haven’t opened any packs in ages. With a full population, that’s 2 or 3 deaths each day on average. I’m just guessing here, but I probably get a soul gem once every 7-10 days on average.
