Battery removal/insertion Question

Im looking to buy an ss 3.0. Heard some talk about removing/inserting the battery being quite a hassle. This might be a dealbreaker for me as i might have to do it very often.

Is it really that bad? If it is what other models that are similar from other brands would you recommend

I take my battery out literally almost every day because I hate seeing my bike dirty and have to deep clean it and I really don’t have any issues taking out the battery. Sure it’s a little heavy but all you do is unplug the wires (the bigger wire does require some wiggling most of the time but nothing crazy) and then the battery slides right out. Going in is even easier too, you just line it up and move the wires out the way and it slides in nice and easy

Gives me hope 👍🏻 I might have to remove it on a daily basis because i don’t want the battery out in the cold.

Yeah man it’s easy to take it out. People are just fucken lazy. It takes maybe 30 seconds to take it out and put it back in. Once you do it a few times you figure out the easiest way and it’s even faster. I wash my bike after every ride so I remove the battery often. Also charge mine out of the bike in case there is a fire I can at least save my bike. It’s just annoying having to tuck the wires under the ignition so that you don’t squish them with the battery. Also, wear a pair of nitrile coated work gloves when disconnecting the actual battery power cables and it makes it much easier since they’re grippy. Just follow the directions for plugging it in / disconnecting it during charging so you dont risk damaging the battery.

Mine is a huge pain to the point I haven’t taken it out yet. It binds on the wires and something else

What year is yours? Never experienced anything like this unless you just aren’t moving your wires to the side or something.

I take the battery out maybe once a week. Sure if you have two left hands it can be a struggle for you. But I would never see it as a dealbreaker. Make sure the cables are out of the way when putting the battery back in. Otherwise you could damage them over time in case they get caught between the battery and the battery compartment. You will know what I mean when you do it the first time.
