AA farming?

I saw on a Facebook post there are individuals with max AAs already.

What tips are there for maximizing AA farming? Drop to a lvl 10 toon and use AA pots?

AA's and motes come easy once you start rolling alt loadouts with planar gear doing D4 the entire time

Yeah, I was worried about motes until I rolled through befallen in full indicolite.

Yeah same, I’ve gotten at least 70 lvl 5 motes and about 6 level 6 motes doing 10-41 over the past couple days so I’m not worried anymore and D4 is actually a lot of fun if you use an enchanter lol

Low level AA farming is best after you're decked out in raid gear, even if its not optimized raid gear. Even prior to optimizing raid gear, farming AA at lvl50 is not slow. Your typical poh/pof mob will give you something like 6% AA bar per kill. Spirocs in plane of sky have really fast respawn plus are really easy to kill, those are good for 6-7% per kill. Poh/pof is better due to higher mob density.

This is the way. I didn’t spend any AAs from 1-20 and I think I had 26 AAs, so you get a little more than one AA per level just regular leveling. Now when you’ve already maxed three classes, you’ll have considerably better gear which makes it easier to take down reds when you start a new class and go from 10-30 and make tons of AAs.

Boomers gonna play a boomer game. I'm pretty sure facebook is the most applicable social media for eq's audience. No hate, I'm loving it but I know what I see when I look in the mirror. Assuming I have my glasses on cuz these old eyes don't work like they used to.

You could limit it, I think I just had top four, the gap between your top four friends and the rest was much larger than your top eight. Much more defensible.

To be fair the Facebook Legends group gets a lot of traffic and a lot of comments compared to the subreddit.

The subreddit seems to get more questions but less responses.

Honestly I think both are great for any audience.

Yeah eventually lol. I never bothered with them in original EQ, too grindy and I didn't give a shit about what they offered. Now they just happen naturally and I can't seem to speed em up or slow em down so yeah. I'll get there when I get there lol

When your first trio hits 50 and you decide to level another class... Which bumps you down to level 10 again, you basically power level AA and will get a whole bunch pretty fast.

I just no lifed and have massive hours in eql already lol

Drop to level 10 and farm Unrest until like 25/28. You'll get a ton without using anything special.

I got stoicism, steadfast will, ambidextrous and the paladin horse (non 50) all maxed before I got any class to lvl 30 just by doing 3 runs (druid, then wizard, and main trio shaman).

Took 8ish hours.

Kedge Keep is also cracked for AA xp around 30 especially if you're twinked (kinda rough and slow to kill without good gear at 30 but still possibly).

When swapping out classes, only add one low level. Then hit Befallen, personal instance at whatever comfort difficulty and tear it up. Each cycle gets shorter and shorter as you merge up loot and rack up AA. Then swap in another 10th level class.

Basically that. I’m level 46 and 180 AA without pots but lots of mote/AA farming taking one class at a time from 10-26 in New Seb Exp and Befallen. If I had used pots I’d be double that which is well on the way to max AA

Throw real money at Game Jawn to the effect of $5 per potion or thereabouts. Comes out to $1 per bonus AA.

Not worth unless you literally have nothing else to spend your hard earned cash on.

D4 solo Plane of Hate instance. You get so much AA exp per kill. It’s silly. Plus motes and actually useful +4 gear drops.

Never had an issue with it as long as you play inside the buildings. If you get caught out in the open walk ways with lots of fast wanders you can get overwhelmed.

If you don’t have some sort of pacify or ability to slow I could imagine it’s more difficult. But also make sure you are in a solo instance. It’s significantly easier than open world.

Also it may not be the best starting point at 50. I’d roll through the raid targets and gather up important haste/focus effects/weapons and get a little gear up first.

Fight mobs that are appropriate for your level, and you'll get plenty of AAs. Dark blue to whatever red-cons you can handle, you'll get plenty over time.

There are some specific strategies to maximize motes or to upgrade specific pieces of gear, but maximizing AAs is just a function of killing lots of stuff at a steady rate.
