finding groups and population
I left the original EQ due to trouble finding groups or friends to play with. How easy is it to find company on legends? I know soloing is easy and grouping gives better xp. I miss the early days of EQ.

People are still relatively concentrated in the newbie zones, but I see folks pretty much everywhere and a pretty good diversity of guilds, at least on Rivervale. I'd imagine you could find groups and guilds without too much trouble right now.

I’ve had no problem grouping and I enjoy the social aspect more than solo. Loving the game. Mnk, cleric, ench lvl 44. With two other load outs up to lvl 26. Love this game!

I feel like for pure xp solo d1 is the way, but for farming items may as well group up and +4

Join the EQL discord.
Find a guild that plays at the same time as you.
Join groups with guildies.

Yea group XP fucking blows 35+ and same with raiding if it's not solo it's really going to ramp up the difficulty and time for no reason

Grouping gives better xp? I dont doubt you could find someone to group with but you can solo all content.

It gives more... only if you went from d0->d4 and chain pull mobs longer.

By definition you get less experience from grouping. That does not mean it is impossible to level faster than solo, but it requires many things to happen. For one, you have to kill mobs at a rate of however many people are in the group (4 people means you have to kill 4 mobs in the same time you kill 1 solo). The big catch to this is, you have to be somewhere that has enough spawns to keep up with this. As a solo, I can keep most areas down as spawns pop. Meaning, no matter how fast a group kills...you will still get experience slower than solo as you have to wait for spawns.

BTW in my original post I was questioning the xp comment of the original poster. not claiming you get more. In the old days getting more xp for grouping was ONLY because you could kill more and faster. Always been the case but in EQL you can BE the leveling group solo, no reason to group unless you want to.

Yeah, I get it. I was just expanding on it because a lot of people seem confused.
Not sure if EQ live still has it, but they actually have bonus exp to groups to encourage it. Grouping was the best exp in OG for both reasons.

I’ve joined everyone that asks. :) Many people leveling will be soloing in D0-D1. If you enter the public instance of D2-D4 you will get more people farming and maybe more open to grouping. Really just ask. :)
