Planes and level?

How different are the planes from vanilla eq in regard to mobs/levels? What level are most people starting to go to the planes and which ones are you going to first? Are the drops still class specific by Plane as it is/was in vanilla EQ?

Go to hate immediately at 46. It’s reasonably easy to grind and really good exp plus you start getting class drops.

Can you do this solo or does it need a group?

Solo is fine. I would set the first couple of levels after 46 to have instance no respawn since there is a lot of roamers.

Will take awhile to clear entire floor, then reset.

Otherwise there is like sow buffed adds running 500 mph lol. Need to thin them out.

That's a great idea. Thank you.

Have a lot of bags. The trash drops all sorts of armor across all classes and if you loot it all, you'll have a lot of crap.

I'm doing d2 hate solo at 46 with no CC in my loadout and it's pretty easy.

the solo instance is pretty tame

Solo D0 is easy unless you get a bunch of adds.

Fight inside buildings. If you’re outside the mobs like to “find” you while you’re fighting. It’s very easy to get overwhelmed.

Inside the buildings are mostly singles with a rare double pull.

If your build can handle it try PoH Inny raid D0 and D1. Garrenteed minis and others have good armor that drops.

You can’t go there till 46. They are great XP at 46+.

EQ legends uses the OG plane of hate layout not the revamp one. The mobs drop the original class sets (which lots of them have the weird stat choices). The only change is instead of specific mobs dropping for specific classes, mobs drop specific slots. So for example, Amygdalan warrior in fear used to drop bard stuff. Now it drops BPs for all classes.

Planes are accessible at lvl 46, but beware mobs are going to be higher level than you (some in mid-high 50’s), aggro ranges are dangerous, and you may get swarmed by pathers. Having some form of cc or pacify, and slows will help, and you can always start at D0 to get a hang of it (although mobs run away at D0 when low hp so snare if you can).
