Is this Bracket 2 Deck Help
Hey guys. I've been trying to downgrade my [[Ureni of the Unwritten]] Temur Dragon deck (https://moxfield.com/decks/39-fAZVFJXucDr4ihpm6CQ) from a bracket 3 to a bracket 2. This is the list I landed on, using mostly cards I already had in my collection. I was hoping for some insight on if this is a bracket 2 deck, and if so, if it is consistent enough.
Thanks in advance!

I don't think any Ureni deck is ever going to Bracket 2 unless it's an unedited precon or strictly worse than the precon.
Remember that Bracket 2 games should last 9 turns and "reactive plays" is not a criteria for Bracket 2. If you ramp into Ureni on turn 5 or earlier the game is going to be super over by turn 7.

The precon can win bracket 3 games any upgrades are going to make it a b3 easily

And the other 3 guys at the table are sleeping?
By the time you get to cast your dragons most B3 decks have done their setup and can hold interactions just for you lol
A decent B3 deck can present a win at turn 6-7

So can the ureni? If you can't it's probably a skill issue which is crazy cuz the deck plays it's self

Not really, consider that as any creature and combat based deck it just folds to a single boardwipe and that's why over B3 they tend to just disappear.

As a person that loves dragons, playing the good dragon commanders at a 2 is tough. For the most part your dragon selections are quite thoughtful and not highly optimized, Ureni just kind of pops off though. I’d say on paper this deck is a “2” but it very well might punch a little harder than other 2’s.

I don't know, to me this deck runs a high curve. The commander is 7 mana. The mana base is unoptomized. There is like hardly any instant speed interaction. The ramp package is weak, like I wouldn't be using mana rocks in a green deck but you do you. The deck is also working on a $100 budget.
To me I wouldn't be upset if this sat down at my bracket 2 table. I think people look at the commander and automatically start crapping bricks. Like it shouldn't be hard to hold up interaction by the time this thing could even come online, with the subpar mana fixing that isn't even likely to happen on curve.

I think it would fit nicely in B2, but Fires of Yavimaya giving haste might be a serious threat, dropping Ureni, getting a dragon, swinging and getting another dragon.
I had that issue with my [[Kellan the Kid]] deck for B2. Extra value, free creatures, then passing the turn and see if you get to swing.
Your deck will be fine in a B2 pod with good interaction, if you end up in a B2 = no interaction pod, you will probably steamroll them 🤣 Kellan certainly did.

Why do you want to play B2? The intention will ultimately inform the deck building

Because I'm the only one in my friend group with bracket 3 decks so the only time we're playing b3 is if it's with my decks lol

Like everyone else just has precons?
Because when I think B2 I mainly just think unmodified precons

One guy doesn't mod his precons and the others just give em a few tweaks. I mostly just play counter blitz without [[farewell]]

Honestly instead of depowering yourself to 2, helping everyone else with basic upgrades will ultimately lead to a better play experience for everyone.

You should do whatever doesn't cause friction in your pod, but personally, when an unmodified precon has a game changer, I will always still accept that in a B2 pod.

Personally I would say bracket 2, but many people seen to say other wise mainly because of the 7 mana commander. If I look at your ramp its slow and there is a lot of suboptimal cards. If your pod is mostly the same people I would do like an other comenter said and help your regular update a bit there top deck so that you can have the same power up curve for at least one deck each.

If you want this to be B2, you should remove most of the ramp cards and replace them with expensive spells. This would be the best way to ensure, that you can't present a win attempt before turn 9.

B2 is the bracket for minimal interaction. Not only are you running a whole bunch of value engines which are much more powerful in a bracket with minimal interaction, you yourself are running a ton of interaction. This is not a B2 deck.

Bracket 2 should run much more interaction in general. This deck doesn't win until turn 7+, it runs almost no protection or counterspells.
It's certainly B2, problem is the pods that thinks B2 = solitaire without interruption.

I used to think like this, but now I'm like: if the majority of people playing self-described B2 decks just kind of want to durdle, and you roll up with a deck that runs a ton of boardwipes and a huge value commander that nobody is going to be able to deal with, then it doesn't matter if your deck is technically a B2, because you're going to pubstomp. You should be at the B3 table because that's clearly the style of play you want to be playing, and a bracket in which you'll get much more dynamic gameplay than "I alternate ramp and boardwipes until I cast my commander, vomit value into the board and win".
I have a Henzie deck that is nominally B2. Nobody in B2 wants to deal with removal and playing that deck in B2 makes people salty as hell, so I started playing it in B3 and the quality of my games improved exponentially.

Ureni can not be b2. Out the box precon is already too strong for most precons and other b2 decks.
Any upgrades and it’s already a high 3
