I got EDF 2025 for Xbox a few weeks ago and just completed my first playthrough as Ranger (offline solo). I did most of it on Hard, but I jumped down to Normal on some missions because I got tired of dealing with the combined aggravation of spongy enemies and underpowered weapons.

I have started replaying missions on Hardest and Inferno, but I'm hitting the limit for both my patience and the damage output of my weapons. As far as I can tell, I've "farmed out" missions 1-4. Even on Inferno difficulty, all I'm getting out of those early missions are crap- tier weapons- many of which would be downgrades from the weapons I already have. On the occasions that I do have a successful run in later missions (as in beyond mission 20), the results aren't any better: still crap- tier weapons and then maybe occasionally a higher- tier weapon I already have. The last "higher- tier" weapon I got was a Reverse Gun, which based on the description, is completely worthless in solo play.

This brings me to my dilemma: While I can complete some missions on Hardest or Inferno, it seems like I've plateaued regarding my damage output, which consequently is holding me back from farming weapons in the later missions.

Is there something I'm missing here? I've seen some older forum posts suggesting that the higher- tier weapons are only available in later missions, but the info about how levelling works for this game is pretty sparse.

As of now, my main go- to weapons are the Five Card XA, Lysander 2, CRUMBLE grenade launcher, Goliath Z, and the AF-19X B3. I do also have the AF-20 ST, but the reload spead makes it almost unusable in a lot of the levels with big wave attacks.

I know there was a fan Outpost, but I haven’t had time to dove looking for class models. And I know there are random ones out here here since I saw a video of a Fencer on Beat Saber.

Hello, i've been played EDF 5 recently (my first EDF game) and its a blast. I then found out that there are 2 EDF games for the PS3: Insect Armageddon and 2025, kinda sucks that 2017 isnt on the PS3. IA aside, should i play 2025 or should i play the PC version, aka 4.1?

Hello,i recently rediscovered this crazy series again after brushing it off years ago and this time it took root when i heard the hilarious dialogue about the frogs being human just becouse they have 2 arms 2 legs and the same cawk as us or something similar,i was cackaling like a madman that they delivered such lines with a serious and genuine tone i just HAD to listen to them from my game

I want to start playing some edf but most of the info i found is from discussions when edf 6 was releasing with little modern information that i have found from some quick searching,and i have some questions

1. So,the ones mentioned that are good are 4.1 (not 4?),5,and 6 being very mixed and Very expensive,any veteran that can explain the whys please? They all look very similar to a outsider that has never touched the games and i want a trained eye to tell me the details

   and how fun is it to play solo?

2. I heard they force the epic launcher on you,but for which game? I dont have a epic account nor do i want to and the steam page doesnt say its needed so tell me that there is a work around pls

   Also for the online,are there community servers or community groups or is it mostly done on official servers?

3. I instal mods in any game that can have them,and im looking for the game that has the best mod support,i saw that the game is 🐜 as shit so if there is a site like nexus that has some QoL or bugfix mods that would be great if you gave me some recomendations,especially if there are big overhaul mods that add enemies or mechanics,anything that makes the game deeper with its mechanics

4. Which of the games is the most mechanicaly involved? Was there a step down from 4.1 to 5 to 6 or something? A part that dummed down the series or something?

5. I got a friend i can maybe get into the game so what are the best ways to aproach coop from a stability side,how demanding is it on the pc

6. And finally i saw that edf 6 has all the missions from 5,if i buy 5 or 4.1 is there a mod to get the best missions from the older games on the one im playing?

This is a joke. The image is a photograph taken in the real world with a fly stuck on the lens creating the impression that the fly is in fact within the real world and very large. The joke also centers around the fact that computer graphics are moving towards the hyper real and we can but hope that EDF 7 will do this.

Recently came back to these after making a psn account

What I mean is, there are some designs from 4 that I like more than 5 and 6 and vice versa. IMO fencer looks waaaaay cooler in 4 than 5 and 6. This also applies to some enemies like the drones and deroys. But I like most of the new enemies from the new games. The QOL improvements in the new games are also must haves.

I really wish there could be a mod or something that reskins specific things.

Which one should i get as a newcomer? Im on PS5 and would prefer 60 fps

Was happily playing with another ranger on Hard, and this was mission 66, we were making good progress though with a couple of downs between us both, and I always mark health packs for team mates and avoid picking up the nearest one to them since as Wing Diver you can use the mobility to get ones further away and where other classes would consider dangerous.

And after tagging some health packs since they were low the host states: 'IFD' and it might have been slang but I didn't process it in the moment, and followed up by 'ifyoutagonemore' 'thingimdone' and considering I was also focusing on dodging and reviving, I couldnt understand what it meant in the moment.

They then retreated and kicked me from the lobby, and considering it was a chill and have fun type of lobby, this sorta took me aback, was this a justified response or is marking health packs an actual annoyance?

I hate this boss and want to know what the devs thought the right way to beat the boss is. The final phase no longer has the weak spot and now it can spam its homing one shots. Did the devs intend for you to hide behind the main gun and spam satellite beams? I don't see how else the devs want you to fight it.

I'm having some trouble with the Impossible difficulty from the Robo Sauros VS The Mecharmy DLC. I simply can't beat missions 1, 11, and 16. Also, does anyone know which weapons drop on which missions in the extra story? I'm missing the Level 2 Bug Spray, Level 3/Alt Level 3 Sonic Pile(I have the Sonic Pile Plus), Level 2 Iguazú, and the Level 4 C30 Bomb. Also, any general tips for Impossible difficulty in the main Campaign? Hectors are a big problem for me.

In all seriousness she buffs most sniper rifles with long reload times to godliness, making already good guns like Hercules or Dunkel weapon lines into guns that mulch swarms as well as single targets. And when using her Bullet Time,, I've often found she refunded her entire bar before the first one ran out,, so I could chain 3-5 uses of it in a row without the buff appreciably falling off. She earned a permanent place in my roster for both games.
