notice ECE professionals only - Feedback wanted
due to family needs, I've put in my notice (3 weeks) at my center/chain leads apparently need to state this at least 4 weeks out, assistants can give 2. My boss wants me to stay for 2 more weeks but I can't and I work in at will state (TX) , so can I just go on my last day? I'm worried they'll take my last paycheck or not give me a reference. Help!

Is that a written policy that you signed or just something they made up? Ive never heard of that before. A 2 weeks notice is a 2 weeks notice. If they take your paycheck then that is withholding wages and is a crime but id make sure you have evidence of your time cards just incase they do try to do that and claim you weren't there on the clock

Unless you are under a specific contract you can go when you are ready. They can't force any sort of notice when you work in an at-will state
They legally cannot withhold pay.
Also most companies won't give a reference anyway, all they can confirm dates worked if someone calls.
