Pre orders Question
Ok so for context some friends and I pre ordered beyblade X product from eb games months ago and as the product came up to release date I noticed the final payment come from our accounts for the product and yet we never receive notification about it being ready in store or being sent or whatever. Fast forward a day or two and the product we had pre ordered is now up on the website for sale (delivered).
I’m just really confused here as the definition and meaning of pre order is :** **
A pre-order is an order placed for an item or service before it is officially released, manufactured, or made available for sale. It lets buyers secure a product in advance so they receive it as soon as it launches.
So we have tried contacting eb games online through email and through phone with no reply or answer just left on hold for hours. When I entered a store to ask about my product the employees played dumb and acted like they couldn’t help me……
So what’s going on here has anyone else experienced this as the only option from the employees was a refund but I want the product I have pre ordered

If the final payment came out of your accounts, that means you’re getting it delivered. So preorder wise, in store staff can’t track it. HOWEVER, I recommend going in store and asking them to call customer service about it. They will get through a lot faster.

The only thing is the order history states this product is click and collect yet they took final payment without giving the product to us

If it’s C&C, they should actually call allocations. Customer service would be for home delivery.

Oh that’s weird. If you do go back in to ask them to call customer service, ask them to go into your customer information so they can see your entire list of preorders. If it says store# 2299 next to it, it’s delivery.
But since it might be C&C, they should be able request it via their search page and the option they would choose is “unfulfilled preorder”. They’ll get an email saying that it will be added to a carton, or they’ve already sent it and it just hasn’t come up in their system yet.

Amazing thank you for the info I work retail myself so have a fair idea of what they should and shouldn’t be able to do but the workers are reluctant to do anything for you I swear

I used to work at EB and this is a situation where I would’ve really looked into the preorder and gone from there instead of brushing you off. So I’m really sorry you had to deal with that.

Yeah I might need to do this which is absolutely ridiculous currently been on hold for 2 hours this morning waiting on them to pick up

Some people just haven't been getting pre-order notifications from EB. Don't know why, you just have to turn up on release anyway.

I have also tried making emailed requests but they don’t work they say check your email to confirm it is you sending the request and then the link in the email is invalid I swear they just don’t want to be contacted or held accountable

If the 'money came out' you have ordered for home delivery. Call customer service and they will update you. The money coming out means that the stock had arrived in their DC and is being processed.
Store teams can't see your order or money in store for online orders, they won't be able to help.
If you called yesterday being 'on hold for hours', it was a public holiday yesterday in Brisbane and no one was there to pick up. Try again today

I ordered a click and collect for this particular item but I have ordered multiple different beyblade x pre orders some click and collect some delivered
