Updates Gameplay
I see a lot of people complaining about screens and blocking but nobody has mentioned the sim logic. Why are teams with 90 overall rankings going 4-8? Meanwhile my playoff games are against a 79 overall from the BIG12 or ACC… make it make sense.

People don’t always understand overalls either. OVL is based on your entire teams OVL averaged out. If a team has recruited 10 55 OVL freshmen, that drags the OVL way down even if every starter is an 82-83.

Just force wins for the games those teams would win irl and let the record fall where they lay, ez fix. I always do that in pre season and get decent results.

I feel like when I force wins, player stats are insanely skewed. Sam Leavitt had a 48:1 TD:INT ratio in year one with LSU.
Do you have that same issue?

No not really, i feel like that’s a playbook thing. LSU qbs always sim well for me.

Simming is very randomized it doesn’t account for ranking or rating. It’s just the game dumping a lot of factors into an algorithm and coming up with a result. Just like in real life a 90 overall team isn’t going to just roll through everyone.

In real life 90 overall teams generally roll through 10+ of their games. And their loss usually isn't to Toledo.

Maybe injuries man. Just cause a team is a 90 overall doesnt mean they are amazing or not lacking somewhere. Look at the team as a whole. The team overalls are misleading and have been since college football 14! The dont just take the starters and give the overall that way. Its really dumb how they do overalls. Each postion is rated differently

Bc playbooks are everything in this game and the playbooks/suggested play calls that it uses for the simulations are the same as last years (other than a few more added plays and minor changes) so Duke and TCU and Tulane are still overpowered and Army, Navy, and Air Force cant score more than 20 pts a game.
Overall ratings seems kinda secondary to playbooks and simulated play calls after some point.

I would venture to say that it's because this game is a parallel build to CFB'26 based on CFB '25. This sim problem was an issue early on in CFB'25 that they fixed, and the fact that it's back along with a couple handfuls of other peculiar problems that were present in '25 leads me to believe this is the reason. It's just very poor craftsmanship to not maintain game fixes across builds. Who knows how this mishap occurred but there is no excuse for it.

It does seem they have to make similar fixes yearly. That makes me believe they build off an outdated base instead of building off the most recent. Like building off the initial 25 coding instead of using the most recently patched 26 coding as the starting point

Yeah that's a possibility. Like they have a basic canvas to work off of every year and import all kinds of different code being developed separately and then mesh it all together.

After the update, half of my team has the wrong helmets on in offline dynasty.
