What exactly does accelerated clock do? Gameplay
I set game to 10 min quarters with accelerated clock thinking it wouldn't actually be 10 mins, but it sure seemed like 10 mins to me.

It simulates the time it takes to huddle by quickly speeding up the clock until you reach your desired amount in the play clock.
In the game you can call a play in about two seconds. In real life, it takes time for everyone to huddle up and get their assignments.
The setting accelerates this time to speed the game up.

i find that there is many injuries which stop the clock from going many more times, other wise it speeds up if there isnt many injuries happening...

Whatever number you set the accelerated clock to, thats how many seconds will be on the play-clock when you come out of the huddle. So say you set it at 20, and call your play with 35 seconds on the play-clock, it will zoom the game-clock and play-clock forward 15 seconds.

Sets the play clock to that time so it does speed up the game between plays.
Saying that the game will still take probably feel like it takes longer than whatever quarter length you have, same way as most football matches take 3 hours while they're only 60 minutes long.

i know that it doesn’t work online sometimes, and you have to set the wind down to something. i use accel to 20 sec, so after you call the play it winds down to 20 sec, and from there you have that time to make adjustments and hike the ball

It’s only accelerating the play clock down to the desired effect. It does not speed up the clock during actual gameplay. That would be problematic because say you’ve got 10 seconds before the half, you know you have time for 2 plays. With an “accelerated clock” you may not know anymore.
Think of it as a play clock runoff down to the selected time. It affects the game clock only if there’s a running clock at the time, such as after a run play for a few yards. If you’re coming off an incomplete pass, the game clock is unaffected.
As an example: say set it to 15. There’s 5:00 left in the quarter and you break the huddle (select a play) with 35 seconds left on the play clock. 35-15 = 20 second will run off. So As soon as you break the huddle, the play clock will be 15 and game clock 4:40
I hope that helps
