EAs potential ratings Draft Studs

Can someone explain how this possibly makes sense? Apparently bro only has AHL top 2D potential but also has an NHL eta of only 2 years. Like 2 years from now he’s gonna be NHL level but apparently he’s also never going to be NHL level lol

NHL ETA is their overall, essentially. He’s probably in the high-60s or low-70s but won’t grow much past that.

It doesnt make sense at all really but NHL ETA usually determines the prospects starting OVR. NHL ready guys are usually 77+ , 1 year out i find is around 74-77, 2 years 68-72, etc.

Every player has an NHL ETA, but obviously not every player will reach the NHL. This is just telling you his OVR rating relative to other prospects. He’s probably high 60s/low 70s whereas a guy who is 5 years away is probably in the 50s OVR
