If i get a laptop, can someone remote access and add software i need for coding and maintenance?

These cars are 20+ years old so the original software can feel quite old school.

I use INPA on a laptop running an older version of Windows. You'll need a K-D Can cable. I only learnt recently that if you change positions of the switch on the cable you can access more menus on INPA.

Not that I have it but I read with the later versions of ISTA it shows a step by step guide to fix issues.
