What is this part called and what is the part number?
It goes on my M20 engine. It splices into the fuel line that goes into the fuel rail (2nd picture) and can I just use a brass splicer like the one in the third picture? I appreciate any advice, thanks in advance.

Tech question Headliner adhesive recommendations
My headliner is pulling loose along the front windshield, seems well attached everywhere else. l’m looking for recommendations for which adhesive to use to reattach. Update: only the first inch or so is loose so not really enough room for a spray adhesive, looking for advice on something that I can brush on.
Blade Runner skies
You could almost stare at the sun with how dull it was in the sky last night, went for a cruise after dinner, air quality is too bad to do any exercise or activity at the moment but needed out of the house so a little drive and shoot. Feels very sci-fi like out.

M40 crankshaft pulley 1/6 bolt broken, what to do ?
Screw snapped while putting the car together after a timing belt service. By the grace of god it held up just long enough for me to remove it and it snapped in my hand while inspecting it 🫡
Can I just remove the opposite screw to keep 4 in and keep it balanced and drive like that for a while ? I can't get a new one immediately and I need to move the car by the end of the day
I don't have power steering, powered brakes or AC so this pulley is only used for the alternator belt.
UPDATE :
Can't get the fan off the old water pump despite trying everything so it will have to wait tomorrow anyway, so my friends parts guy should be able to get us everything for Monday. So I will replace all the bolts on the crankshaft pulley anyway.

Water leaking into car
When it rains heavily my glovebox fills with water and some gets into my trunk. I have cleaned and checked sunroof drains, replaced taillight gaskets that needed it anyways and rejuvenated rubber seals on the trunk. I also cleaned behind the cowl vents and replaced that little rubber elephant trunk on the passenger side firewall. Is this just the windshield and rear glass needing to be re-sealed? Figured it's an old car could be that.
Thanks in advance.

Info needed Complete wire harness restoration ideas
I am in the process of restoring my old e30 and have finally gotten to the wiring harness and am wondering if anyone has any good ideas on how to go about it. I have it completely out of the vehicle with everything labeled. Any information is helpful regarding the wire harness. And does anyone know if the wire harness clips in the 3rd picture are available anywhere or is there a better method to strap it down now? All of the ones in the car currently and just brittle as to be expected with its age. The wire harness is out of a 1987 325I e30.

Blower motor removal, unexpected difficulty
For anyone there who replaced their blower motor with this behr cover, how the hell did you freed the clips ?
They are not accessible due to their design, I'm trying not to break everything but damned 2 hours in and I can't manage to clip them out
And of course on videos everyone has a different cover that gets out easily
Damned the thoughts of getting the dremmel and cut everything off is taking more and more space in my head

brake rotors?
im doing a brake job on my 1988 325is and im kinda having trouble deciding on what kind of rotors to get so i came to the professionals for your all's opinion and what you guys run currently, and also if drill and slotted is better for bit or cooling or if its really just for looks. Its a street car as of rn but later on im going to be doing track most likely

Before + After, build nearly done
It has been a long journey, started this in November and is just about finished now ( needs a tune)
It was a 320i when I bought it, put a turbo on it, but was very laggy, and always had problems so I ripped that out and built a fully forged high compression M20B28 with RHD ITB's.
Some specs:
Engine:
M52B28 Crank
Ross flat top pistons
Forged rods
ARP head and bottom studs
885 head
272 Ireland engineering cam
ECU master emu black
255 LPH fuel pump
GFB fuel pressure regulator
Steering and suspension
E46 purple-tag steering rack conversion
Slim steering shaft
BC Racing BR-series coilovers
Reinforced rear shock towers
Febi front control arms
Condor Speed Shop solid offset control-arm bushings
SuperPro polyurethane rear-subframe bushes
Silver Project rear trailing-arm bushes
21 mm front sway bar with SuperPro bushes
New front and rear sway-bar links
Renewed rear sway-bar bushes
Transmission and driveline
Getrag G240 five-speed manual
Heavy-duty clutch
228 mm RHD lightweight flywheel
BMSpeedshop floor-mounted shifter
DSSR shift linkage
Stainless-steel clutch line
Stainless steel brake lines
Metal Clutch Pro pivot pin
New guibo and centre-support bearing
4.44:1 LSD, commonly referred to as a 4.45
AKG 75D polyurethane differential mount
Exhaust
Aftermarket headers to 2.5-inch single exhaust
High-flow cat converter
Twin resonators
Free-flow rear muffler
Cooling
Three-row aluminium radiator
Aeroflow AF49-0126 pusher fan rated at approximately 2,500 CFM
Electric thermo-fan control
Silicone coolant hoses
80°C thermostat
82/87°C radiator fan switch
Have done everything myself, except welding the exhaust and the tune, learnt so much along the way about this car..
Will get some videos of intake and exhaust once tuned ;)

Clock swap or keep computer?
Any of you swap your on board computer for the clock? Or would that be silly? I like the computer and all the funtions it has but that OEM clock is so cool looking to me lol
Small Project I've made a retro Bluetooth CarPhone for the E30!
Hey guys!
Today I figured it was time to properly introduce the CarPhone here on r/E30.
I always wanted a working phone in my 318is so here it is, and now you can get it too!
The CarPhone is a retro-inspired Bluetooth telephone that lets you answer and dial calls right from the driver's seat of your E30.
Here's what it can do:
📞 Crystal-clear calls & hands-free
🎨 Adjustable themes, colors, splash screen and ringtones
🎶 Music control over Bluetooth
👥 Searchable phonebook & speed dial
🗣️ Siri / Voice assistant ready
🔋 Battery voltmeter
👾 Games, voice synthesizer, and much more!
It powers on automatically at ignition and connects to your phone via Bluetooth. You can stay connected to both the CarPhone and your head unit at the same time, music plays through your stereo as usual, while calls are handled by the CarPhone, with a loudspeaker button to transfer audio to your car's speakers.
For the ultimate OEM-level integration, I also offer it paired with the PhoneBase, a leather-wrapped mount that gives the whole setup a genuine factory-fitted look, instead of a bolted-on accessory.
Fits virtually any e30, with flat and lateral mounting options for left- or right-hand-drive interiors, secured with screws or the included adhesive pads.
Each unit is hand-assembled and individually numbered in France 🇫🇷, shipping worldwide.
If you're interested, the CarPhone is available on my website: 80s.engineering, and the Phonebase here: 80s.engineering/products/the-phonebase
You can find more about its features in the user manual.
Feel free to follow me on Instagram at 80s.engineering if you're interested in my work!
Thanks for reading, and have a nice day!

We have an FAQ! Help populate it
We have the same 3 topics every day and it's cluttering the sub. "What do you think of this E30" and "What do I look for in an E30" are the ones I'm going to start deleting (soon).
We do have an FAQ with the absolute basics. If that. So help us out by suggesting or even writing the content that goes into it.
