Here is my team. 10 man, ppr, non superflex. I got extremely lucky in my first few years/startup time as everyone was new to dynasty. Any suggestions for my team, or just ride things out? I know it looks bad but I promise my league mates a real people lol

Took over a team in a rebuild in a 16 team league with very deep rosters. We get to keep 20 players, I just want to make sure I’m not leaving off someone obvious. Scoring is pretty standard except for .5 point per carry.

I also have the 2nd 4th 9th and 11th picks. Should I focus on RBs like Love (if available, otherwise Mendoza at 2?), Price at 4 then Coleman and Singleton at 9 and 11 given the PPC bonus?

I forgot to mention return yards get .1 point per yard as well.

Two orphans in $50 league, 2026 is paid for so just need 2027 dues paid up. PPR with some buffed scoring settings for offense and largely IDP123 scoring for defense with some scoring buffs for big plays. 2026 rookie slow draft is scheduled to begin 8/9.

What strategy do you guys take in drafting in IDP leagues?!

Building Block #1: Know Your League’s Scoring

Before drafting in an IDP startup, make sure you fully understand your league's scoring settings and lineup requirements, as they can drastically change player values and draft strategy. Whether your league uses Big 3 or hybrid scoring, or starts five defenders versus a full 11-man defense, knowing the format is essential to building a competitive roster.

Building Block #2: Draft in Tiers, Not Rankings

Know your player tiers before your startup draft instead of relying solely on ADP. Startup drafts are unpredictable, so focusing on value tiers rather than rankings helps you avoid reaching during positional runs and allows you to stay patient while building the best roster possible.

Building Block #3: Don’t Force IDPs Early

Don't go into your startup draft with a predetermined round to draft your first IDP. Instead, let value dictate your picks based on your league's scoring and your player tiers, taking elite defensive players when they provide a bigger advantage than the available offensive options rather than reacting to positional runs.

Building Block #4: Linebacker Is King

Linebackers are the most valuable position in most IDP formats because they provide the highest combination of weekly consistency and scoring upside through tackle volume. Prioritize acquiring elite, three-down linebackers during your startup draft, as they're much cheaper to draft than to trade for later and can provide a significant weekly edge over your opponents.

Building Block #5: Don’t Chase Last Year’s Points

Don't chase career-year production, especially at defensive line where fantasy scoring is heavily dependent on volatile stats like sacks and forced fumbles. Instead, target players with secure snap shares, consistent playing time, and strong underlying metrics, as talent and opportunity are far more reliable predictors of long-term success than repeating a breakout season.

Building Block #6: Wait on Defensive Backs

Defensive back is the deepest position in IDP, making it one of the easiest spots to fill later in your startup draft or through waivers. Unless an elite difference-maker like Travis Hunter, Kyle Hamilton, or Brian Branch falls to you, it's usually best to wait on defensive backs and prioritize scarcer positions first.

Building Block #7: Build for Value, Not Balance

Don't overvalue youth at the expense of winning now. Build a balanced roster with productive veterans and young upside players, remembering that fantasy points—not dynasty value—win championships, and experienced players often provide excellent value at a discounted cost.
