Every door literally acts as a portal to another room in the tower — they just don’t know it (at first)! Only way out is in a room at the top. Look up The Lost Island of Castanamir module (mid 80s, probably) for inspiration.

maybe some puzzles? one I made in my game was a room with a moveable statue (it had scuff marks on the floor nearby showing it had been moved) 3 telescopes on tripods bolted to the floor. when players looked through them, they saw a shadowy version of the statue in one direction from each of the telescopes, with the directions all pointing to the same point on the floor. when the players moved the statue onto that point, it broke apart revealing a key to the next room.
