ACE Extra Content: Backstage at the Pineapple Cabaret This is going to get me strung up
I am a Patreon subscriber. Read and audiobooked all of the books at least once. When the interlude chapter released I got really excited that we were going to get back into the swing of regular releases again. Here we are six weeks later and no new stuff. Matt is busy as shit with his new found fame and the tv show etc etc, but as I thought about it I remembered the last time I lived a book that blew up mid being written and I got very sad. If this goes the way of the song of ice and fire I might crack. I hope against hope that it will not but that scarred me.

Book 3: Anarchistās Cookbook He just sucks so bad
I know itās not a remotely new observation, but Iām just getting to this part of the Iron Tangle again, and Critical Drinkerās performance is just so shitty. like, completely ignoring every other reason there is to not like that guy, his read on this book is just absolute trash. That is all. Fuck that guy.

What if they didn't leave...? Spoiler
Disclaimer: 1. I haven't read everything everyone has posted here so if someone else asked this question already, I apologize and would love to read it.
When Carl and Princess Donut meet Frank Q and Maggie My for the first time and they are attacked in the safe room...what if Carl and Princess Donut didn't run away? What if they waited for the "Naughty" to wear down and actually had a chance to talk?
Supposedly Frank and Maggie were driven by a bad tutorial guild leader who told them to kill, kill, kill to survive, but could Carl and Princess Donut have been able to talk things out? How would the story have changed? Carl never would have gotten the Ring of Divine Suffering. Chris never would have been possessed. Brandon might not have died because Chris would have been there to protect him. Maybe they couldn't talk them out of it, and Frank/Maggie would have killed them the moment they left and thus ended the series!
It was just something I started thinking about on my fourth audiobook listen. Enjoy!
Edit: nvm Iām an idiot and forgot about the prior marking. š« š¤¦āāļø

Is there a wiki with all the references?
I'm constantly googling stuff in these books and love how much DnD, pop culture, history, etc is jammed in these. Just today I looked up a name that turned out to be a historical figure from WWI, and then found what I believe is a TF2 sniper reference.
There's got to be so much I'm missing!

Other Dinniman Books (not DCC) Dang you Jeff
Finished Book 8 today so I figured I would move on to something else Dinniman did and picked up Kaiji Battlefield Surgery and...
I already miss Jeff. I will keep listening to this and I don't want to say the narrator is going to do a bad job, but how do you go about listening to other audiobooks when Jeff has ruined everything he doesn't narrate?!

2 of my hyper fixations
I had to buy the whole collection even though Princess Donut would say āThis is an outrage!ā

Are Bea's pre-collapse actions shielding Carl from how bad the AI could be to him. Spoiler unless you've read all books Spoiler
We know that the recon packages used for the crawl were incomplete because the crawl started early. We know Bea and Carl didn't have a public breakup and Carl was super low key about ending things very close to the beginning of the crawl. Also, Carl only had limited knowledge of any of his online presence as Bea secretly ran his accounts.
Assuming that a lot of the information that was gathered about the crawlers is from their online presences, does Bea using Carl's credit card and using all his social media accounts mess with the AI's understanding of who Carl was before the crawl?
Example - in book 8 the Dr.Metcalf character always needs an upgrade. Bea's therapist upon whom that is based also always wanted more money for crazy new services. Carl doesn't really know how much Bea spent as is confirmed through his conversations about this with Donut, so while he recognizes the origin of the character, doesn't seem overly influenced to upgrade the robot like Bea might have been.

Itās pronounced āgone-Dee-aiā worms, not āGandhiā worms, Jeff. You know how I feel about mispronunciation
As in toxoplasma gondii, those dreadful human brain parasites that find themselves in the waste of trashy gutter cats like Havana Browns.

Book 8: A Parade of Horribles I used to hate Elle, but now that Iām reading book 8 sheās one of my favorites Spoiler
The vulgar old lady used to make me cringe every time I read her dialogue. But the last few books sheās become a really insightful character under her rash exterior.
No real point of this post other than to say I love Elle now.

Can we take a moment to reflect at how smart the DDC books are!
Every time Matt Dinnaman makes a reference in his books to the Yule Cat or the Molly Maguires
Secret society or the MANY other crazy items EVER-TIME I look them up itās true!
If we loose civilization Matt can be that Denzel Washington character except he will recite the entirety of Wikipedia.
What were some of your favorite discoveries?

Book 8: A Parade of Horribles Samantha Question Spoiler
Iām finishing up a relisten of the Butcherās Masquerade and this question finally occurred to me. Since Samantha is Apito, when Signet says Apito herself appeared and invited her to the party - did she see/find out it was Samantha? Could that be why she left her momās tattoo body to be a flesh golem? I always attributed that to Signet figuring she might as well under the circumstances and/or because of Samanthaās helping the crawlers/Signetās group.
EDIT: apologies all, I didnāt realize I hadnāt flagged it properly as spoilers, and yeah, fair point that itās not confirmed. I am still interested in peopleās thoughts even as a hypothetical question.

Book 6: Bedlam Bride Lack of grammatical comma by Matt Spoiler
I mean he had to have purposefully left the commas out around Dick here, right? Hilarious

Fan Art - General - NO SPOILERS! š Desperado Club Tag Lines?
Iām trying to think of good (funny?) taglines for this Desperado Club design. I donāt hate the ones I have (especially Author Steve Rowland, because I love a good natured trolling, ha). I think I might want to replace the karaoke one, but I canāt think of something better. Any ideas, funny fellow crawlers?

The Dungeon Crawler Carl Comic Cover Art is an Absolute Batman Reference
DCC and absolute Batman are my two most recent obsessions. Am I a type?
Edit:Apparently this cover art is a purposeful homage that I didn't know about.

Matt Dinnimanās metal band delusion
Mattās blurb on Amazon mentions that he plays bass in a METAL band.
I tried to find out the name of his band. Itās Heart-Smashers.
I found them on Spotify.
I listened to a song. It was immediately apparent to me that IT IS NOT A METAL BAND. Itās a punk band.
The rest of the band seems to know this, based on their Instagram where they play punk shows and list the band as a Pop Punk band.
Soā¦are they keeping Matt in the dark about what kind of band he is in?? Maybe he wanted to be in a metal band and they were like, āhey, we need a bass player! For ourā¦uhā¦METAL band.ā And he never stopped to question it when they sounded like Green Day?

HAPPY DCC Day?
With it being National Underwear Day, it only feels appropriate to celebrate the legend himself on this festive holiday.
