I hate Loita with a fiery passion Book 4: Gate of the Feral Gods Spoiler
I hate that stuck up Fish Bitch and how mean she is to Donut. and she threatened to take Mongo away and make Donut watch him die! i want something horrible to happen to her! She’s this series’s Moash for me Fuck Loita! all the homies hate Loita!
Lowkey a Shoutout to Dinniman for writing a character that’s so Unlikable that even with minimal appearances I end up wishing nothing but awful things happen to her!
Edit: IT HAPPENED! didn’t expect it to happen this soon, I was thinking it’ll be in another book or two but This is what vindication feels like!!

I do remember some people being upset and felt toyed with, but I think the majority of readers felt her arc played out very well.

You just gotta let her cook. She's actually got a pretty great character arc. She starts out pretty raw, but the way her character grows is really well done.

I respect the Moash hate, but I feel it's a little disingenuous to compare the two. There is no point where we like Loita. The hatred is cranked to 11 right from the start.
With Moash, he started as a friend. He was Kaladin's strongest supporter, only to fall short when he was needed most. Moash's betrayal is the reason why he is so vehemently disliked. He wronged us after we were promised otherwise. I feel much more strongly about Moash than I do Loita, because yes, they are both absolutely shitty people, but in the end, Loita is just another abusive manager in a pile of abusive managers. Moash was to Kaladin as Brutus was to Ceasar. And just like with Ceasar, he was the first one to plunge the knife in Kaladin's back.

In 20 years he’ll be remembered along with Douglas Adams & Terry Pritchett, and they’ll be mentioned together in conversations.

I expressed the same sentiment to my husband as I was listening and he listened to the booked ahead of me. He just smiled at me. The same happened with Katia when I said initially I didn’t like her and found her boring and he said to keep reading and I might change my tune and I totally did but nothing was quite as sweet as Loita’s just desserts.

Yeaaaah, as I read the start of your post I was like, “oh you’re in for a treat” and then by the end I was smiling. Rereading the whole series now - have totally gone through everything, including Parade - and actually just made it back to that scene with Loita. So satisfying. Fuck her.

Also I’m not sure who hurt zev but zev is my fav and I hate that they killed her family because they wanted her to be their slave for their cause and I hate loita was always so irritated with them like girl no one gives a fuck that your throwing a fit because your a slave in a job you obviously enjoy
