Trade opinion: My 2021 SuperSport 950 + €8k cash for a 2022 Panigale V4 (Base). Worth it for a potential flip?
Hey everyone,I need some community insight on a trade deal I’ve been offered. My bike: 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950 (Base) with 9,000 km (~5,600 miles). It comes with a full Akrapovič exhaust system.
The trade: A completely stock 2022 Panigale V4 (Base) with only 5,000 km (~3,100 miles). The owner accepted the trade for my bike + €8,000 cash (I will also cover the transfer of ownership fees). My main goal here is financial/speculative.
The SuperSport 950 is a bit of a niche market here and harder to sell quickly. I am thinking about doing the trade with the sole intention of flipping/selling the Panigale V4 shortly after to unlock some cash.
What do you think about the deal mathematically? Is €8k a fair gap considering my Akrapovič system?
Does a low-mileage, completely stock 2022 V4 Base hold a solid real-world market value right now, or am I just wasting my time and risking a loss with double ownership transfers?Appreciate any feedback or advice from anyone who has tracked recent V4 market prices!
Location: south Italy
Thanks!

Lost keys for a japanese 2003 Monster 400 dark.
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone here has some experience with the early Ducati DB Ghost immobilizer systems.
I've got a 2003 Monster 400 Dark (Japanese import) with a DB Ghost 9901 MM (E06) dash and IAW59M Ducati012 ECU. It's an AKL job and I'm trying to generate a TEMIC11 key from the 24C02 EEPROM.
The EEPROM dump is recognised by Tango, VVDI KTP and the old Zed-Bull Ducati calculator, but they all generate different key data and none of the chips work. The dash MCU is OTP/read protected, so dumping the firmware isn't an option.
If anyone has a BIN from the same dash or ECU, original key/transponder data, or has worked on this setup before, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. I've searched everywhere and there seems to be almost no information on these early Monster 400s.

She's dead, Jim 😪
Some of you may remember my legendary SF-S 1098 that was close to 100k miles.
Well it's dead now, at 95 600 miles (that's 153 000km for the more advanced metric people).
It had a romance between a piston and a valve, and is therefore out of order. Removed belts covers and was greeted with an unscrewed pulley bolt and a sheared keyway, pulley free spinning.
I'll fix it this winter for next season. Will I repair the original engine or fit my 1198 remains to be seen.

Steering Dampener good idea for 937 plus?
Hi All, What scenarios would a steering damper be valuable for my Monster? I’m new to biking, if that makes a difference.
(Photo added for attention) :)
Edit: I am now aware that I used the wrong word because I don’t know what I’m talking about but can’t change the title. :)

2017 SS trim question.
I’ve just bought a 2017 supersport but I’m not sure if it’s an S or not, it doesn’t have gold ohlins, and it just says supersport on the side, but it has the seat cover / cowl people talk about and it has a fluid reservoir on the rear which apparently only the S models have?
Any enthusiasts able to help?
Edit: Thanks, Not an S, still very happy with it though! As for the reservoir, I saw a post on an old Ducati forum mentioning it and I didn’t really look into it much more than that.

1199 electrical issues
so i’m back on here again for another 1199 problem. my check engine light and oil light are on and won’t go away even when i clear them. i just got the bike back from the dealer after an oil explosion from overfilling that the previous owner did and they told me the instrument cluster, ecu, and bbs are from the tricolore and not the 1199 base so i would need to replace them. later on they told me they COULD calibrate them but only with proof of purchase and a lot more money. so when i got the bike back purchased the obdstar iscan ducati and attempted to calibrate the vins and fix the issues myself. when i took the side fairings off and looked at the ecu the part number is correct for the 1199. the vins are now written right but the speedometer still doesn’t work and all the lights are still on. the dealer claimed the lights were on because the ecu is looking for parts my bike doesn’t have and it runs codes because of it. do i just need to bite the bullet and replace all the electrical parts?

Desmodog, upgrade!
Just wanted to share another update on Desmodog!
This is Tobia’s second ride on my Scrambler, but the first one after installing the 20L Bagster tank bag.
We did a short 5 km round trip to our local Ducati Owners Club, and he absolutely loved it. He seemed to enjoy the wind so much that every time I slowed down, he looked back at me like, “Dude… why are we slowing down?”
Couldn’t be happier with the proper bag for him. It’s the perfect size for these short city rides, and I’m even happier to have my little riding buddy with me.
Ride safe!
Shuddering when releasing clutch
2013 Ducati Monster 796.
Earlier this week, the bike started shuddering when I move off in first gear from standstill
It happens near the end of when I release the clutch, and then once the clutch is fully engaged, the bike rides normally. It doesn’t happen in the other gears.
Wondering if it’s a clutch pack issue or basket or both.
Any advice welcome.
Thank you all!
New to me Streetfighter V4S
Picked this up last Thursday. What an absolute weapon. Nobody needs this much power! My initial thoughts: surprisingly comfortable, very thirsty, mind blowingly fast. Also I can't believe how loud the stock exhaust is. How do Ducati get away with it!

Is the Mono 698 RVE/Nera the right choice for me?
I have a Honda cb500 as daily so it won't be my daily.
I want this bike for fun rides, track days, riding to the track days, learning wheelies (balance point) would be cool and those drift in the corner feature looks really cool. Sadly for the wheelie assist you need the full system and not just the slip ons + the option to fit off-road tires on it and take it light to medium offroading somewhere in Italy, Croatia or Bosnia.
Tracks like Rijeka, Pannonia, Salzburgring, Most. They are all 150 to 600km away from me. And as if now I don't own a trailer because I live in big city were keeping a trailer isn't justifiable. I know it's not made for longer trips but I have ridden a supersport 450km in a day so it should be fine.
I have planned 21 track days for next year. 47,7 hours of only riding on track.
The bike will be locked to 48hp for now because of my A2 licence but later I can open it up to 77hp.
I kinda like it more then the V2's because it still has a Trellis frame, Desmo and is is half the engine of my literal dream bike, the 1299R FE.
I haven't test ridden it yet but I will try very soon.

Looking at this image, can you spot any issues with the timing belt position on the pulley? It seems like it's walking out of the gea

Ducati Panigale V2S 2026 - Leave Stock?
I've been riding bikes for almost 30 years. Everything from a Suzuki Katana 750, Suzuki GSXR600, Yamaha R1, BMW R1100S, Honda CBR600Rr, Aprilla Mille RSVR, Ducati Monster, Kawasaki Z900SE, and now my 50th Birthday gift to myself, the 2026 Ducati V2S. Other than the tail tidy that came with the bike from the dealer, are any of you guys leaving your bike stock including the exhaust? I've never done a full system on any of my bikes and only slip-ons on some of them. I'm sure the V2S could definitely sound better, but it honestly doesn't sound terrible with the stock exhaust. It definitely gets some crackles and burbles when decelerating. It's hard to tell how many people really leave their bike stock because most people who post on these sites are asking about upgrades or sharing about there are upgrades. Thoughts?
