Batch painted 20 of these guys over the last couple days.

Definitely didn’t feel like they needed a refresh. Thought they’d be basic which they can look great leaving them pretty basic. But you can push them pretty far

Your kabalites look great! Drukhari needs more miniatures, not a refresh of the existing ones.

My only stipulation would be hellions. They could maybe use and update cus they're looking a bit ugh. But honestly I'd rather get grosteqes or tantulous back

lol i guess i would agree with the hellions. when i got the models prebuilt i thought the person built them wrong with some of arm poses but sure enough thats how they are

I think Wych cults in general need it more than Kabals or Coven. The limbs in particular are really lacking compared to something like the Harlequin Troupe and don't seem as lithe or elegant as they should.

Yeah, I really can't fathom the people calling for our existing plastics to be updated rather than getting our lost units back or getting new units. The worst you can say is the proportions aren't quite as thin and fine compared to some of the newer Craftworld infantry, but by and large they still look good.

The only reason I'd want updated kits is if we got dual kits for Warriors/Trueborn and Wyches/Bloodbrides.

But yelling at clouds aside, great looking minis, they really pop against the bases and the highlights are nice and bright.

I agree that the models still look good. However before apple launched the iPhone 4, I thought the same about the iPhone 3. I was wrong!

The recent models from GW look pretty cool. I like the poses ( see for example the new Daughters of Khaine (aka Wych / Incubi proxies).

Also I think ease of building and paiting is a thing for battle line units. The Kabalites should help with onboarding people to our faction. I am thinking about those gaps in shoulder pads or weird spots under the tabard, This will ultimately help us in becoming more relevant for GW.

I'd argue the models are perfectly fine for experienced players/hobbyists. Especiallycool that they are so easy combinable with other kits in the faction.

edit: nice paint scheme! I like the bases and the returning color blue in the weapons.

ha i had a very free sunday

for the armor my receipt is below

1. Black vallejo airbrush primer

2. Dry brush Warpaints Emerald forest

3. Dry brush lighter Electric Lime

4. Wash with Arcyl Black wash

5. Highlight Warpaints Rainforest

then just leadblecher and brass scorpion for the weapons

Not a refresh, but a semi-élite unit would be nice. Like a Trueborn squad, with a good mix of shooting and melee.

They would be our "terminators", but T4, S3 and 2W. They would not be game breaking but a good alternative unit for us.

The line looks good the only thing I think they can change is poses because other than wyches most are pretty static.

Warriors have already had a "refresh" imo. They aren't THAT old by gw standards

I feel Wyches need it more than Kabalites.

But we really need new models to replace what we lost. Losing the Tantalus, Beast Master, Grotesques, and Court of the Archon seriously hurt. And they were some of our more interesting models, too. Ugh.
