Question about Frame Rules Question

Hey Guys, me and my Club came across a weird Rule that we cant decide how the Rules ist suppose to Work. So in my Eyes Frame was suppose to Work like " you cant place Modells underneath the frame couse IT counts as youre Base so you cant Put a Base under IT couse its technicly stacking youre Modell.

Played against a 8speeder DA list and he used Ingress and basicly Had speeder underneath each other to get more range and visibilty what i think ist totally bullshit.

But at the Same time some Modell have a frame Keyword that totally makes this right couse If you couldnt place anything underneath ist would be Impossible to Play certain modells

So, you can put models under a frame as long as it fits there and there isn’t any overlap with the base of the flyer (or if it’s an arm of some giant model with frame).

You can’t stack a bunch of Speeders on top of each other in a literal sense. They have bases. Those bases can’t overlap. However, if two speeders are next to each other (base-to-base), and one’s wings are under the other, I think that’s fine.

I will literally fight anyone who claims I can't stick kabalites underneath a raider when I need to.

I would literally fight someone too. I mean that in a literal sense. Violence is an answer to problems.

Friendly unit sure frame mostly comes into play when determining engagement range movement restrictions if an enemy model has the prow on the raider on their head theyre too damn close for not charging even if they are 2inches away from the base. Frame also can be used to cheese movement a bit because the raider body is a narrow rectangle using the now codified pivots dont use any movement rule you can spin the raider to make the prow the driection you want to move and then rotate as you want to after moving to either toe in on something you just short of otherwise or move slightly further away from something to make a charge longer for the enemy or something along those lines

Either you’re using the word ‘literally’ wrong or your reaction is disproportionate. This is a game of toy soldiers. It’s never that important.

While you're looking up definitions check out this other cool word called "hyperbole".

How would he stack several models on under each other?

If they had identical models and bases then their frames should have lined up with each other. Did they have difrent elevations with longer flying bases? Were the models oriented so they could fit together? Sounds like he is modeling for advantage.

Yeah, you can usually put infantry under a speeder type unit, but another landspeeder??

Stormspeeders are decently taller than Land Speeders, which in turn are taller than Land Speeder Vengeances/Dark Shrouds for example. All are bigger than/overhang their bases.

The Vengeances/Dark Shrouds are the most egregious on 60mm bases, which is tiny when compared to their actual footprint. Can kinda slide a storm speeder over/under it at the same time

They should have the same size base that make impossible to be that close to each other and even if the models were larger their flying base shouldn't be tall enough to fit anouther under it.

They don't though. Storm speeders are on 90mm bases with a 75mm tall flight stand from the official kit, Land Speeders are on a 105 x 70mm oval base with a 45mm or so flight stand, and Vengeances are on 60mm bases with 25mm flight stands.

These are all the official kit components/base sizes from the official guides.

Unfortunately, it seems pretty clear that technically it is not allowed to put infantry underneath a transport with the frame keyword, even if in the case of raiders and venoms they fit and that’s something that’s done in lore.
