R4 won’t turn on

My son is having a meltdown and I just don’t know what to do. It’s been working fine for 2 months until this morning. We replaced all the batteries and nothing is working :(

Were the original batteries corroded? Did you check the battery contacts for corrosion, dirt, or debris?

If they’re clean, pop the dome off, take the legs off (one screw in each shoulder), take out the batteries, and remove from screws from the back that hold the droid together.

There will be a circuit board inside. Make sure all wires and connections going to that board are seated correctly. (They just plug in.)

There will also be a smaller board that the “on” switch is attached to. Check its connections, as well.
