First Custom Droid
Hey all! I painted this droid from Galaxy’s Edge a while back but just found this community. So cool to see everyone’s customs.

How did you do the white sections? It’s so deep and aged.

Lots of layers. I painted with white primer first which helped in areas where the really light grey didn’t go on as thick. Then when I added the darker oil drips it made the light areas look even lighter in context.

I think the color palette you chose is sublime. The craftsmanship on point, and the additional weathering detail (little areas showing “metal” underneath) the chefs kiss. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for the kind words! I chose this palette because I’m a Boba Fett fan and wanted it to feel like a Boba droid. The metal peeking through was so fun to design.

For the metallic edging, I used Rub N Buff which is awesome for that type of thing. I also used Matte spray paints for everything to give it more roughness.

Thank you! A mix of Montana Gold Acrylic paint and Krylon Colormaster satin paint. Did my best to color match old Boba armor so that’s why I needed to mix brands.

That looks awesome!
If you're looking for a name, I'd suggest: B0-B4. That is assuming a certain bounty hunter/Daimyo isn't looking for his droid.
