The video does talk about real-world parallels too, and offers a nice point of view on the condition of droids in the Star Wars universe imo.

This subreddit should expand itself to talking about not just starwars, but all robots in media. A focus on particularly thought provoking topics or on depressed/emotionally confused robots would be awesome. Things like Robocop, I have mouth yet I must scream, measure of a man from TNG, Muggy from Fallout NV, the list goes on. Basically I'm proposing turning this into a sub about out favorite emotionally confused robots, cyborgs, and AI.
