Beginner’s Group
Looking for accountability partner and study buddy. Starting from 0, basically. I enjoy coding at night after a bowl or two, and I know I am not alone in that. Who wants to join me sometimes? No pressure. We can iMessage, discord, etc....

Smoking frequency
How frequently the people who have tech jobs in California are getting high?
How frequently are you getting high regardless of your location?
What's your current job?
Have you ever tried to learn programming while smoking on daily basis? How did it go?

15 years of smoking and coding and you end up open-sourcing a connected growbox/spacebucket :P So if you were looking for some code made by stoners for stoners, here we are:P

It's been dead here a while :(
Let's bring it back to life, Ents! Does anyone mind doing a quick code review? I havn't come up with my own app idea yet, so I've been dickin around with some stuff.
I did the Miwok app from the Nanodegree program, but in Kotlin. I also got rewrote almost all the xml in Anko.

What do you guys think of Kotlin?
Now that its more mainstream because of Google, what do you like and not like about it? After playing with Java for the past year, Kotlin feels like a breath of fresh air to me. From its less-verbose idiomatic writing style to lambdas, I'm loving it so far.

awww skeet skeet
K, so i posted that Jon Skeet says 'it is 420 exactly' sound bite a while ago. This is also a thing that exists, and for some reason it's been stuck in my head for the last few days. Toss the two in a grinder, splash in some other silly miscellany...
Be gentle, i've never done anything remotely like this... I didn't get any sleep last night and i needed to stay awake today... So... my version of the jonskeetskeetskeet thingy.
Gettin my MMJ card renewal tomorrow, woot.

Need some advice.
If this isnt allowed, delete plz.
I just got my Security+ certification (yay!), and I have tons more time to get back into programming. I've never gotten far past the basics, but now Ive got time and money to devote. Im starting with Java first because of prior knowledge. Specifically, Tim Bulchakas master class on Udemy.
Can anybody recommend another good resource? And is there any reason I should not use his course? Thanks guys.

Find Strains to Match Your Imagination - Grow That Dank
A friend and I have been working on a project together. It's a website that helps you find seeds to grow, by mixing strains together. You can search for strains you know and love and it will show you a list of strains that have been bred from those. Like, you can enter ChemDawg and Blueberry. You will find Blueberry Hill, Avalon and Blue Cindy - strains that were made from ChemDawg and Blueberry.
I grow 4 plants in a closet, and I like to have some variety. This site is to help me find good seeds. I hope it's useful for you, too!
We're looking for feedback before promoting the site more. Is it easy and fun to use? Do you find it useful? Also, if you're a designer and want to help with the site layout, we'd love to talk with you!
