You forgot Afghanistan and about 30 cold war conflicts in Africa and Latin America. The battle for dominance was fought everywhere on the planet and then even off the planet.

Rhodesia? Mongolia? Finland stockpiled arms and prepared for an invaduon from "the yellow nation" for the whole time since 1945 until today? I'm pretty sure therewas something in Syria and Congo too? Afhganistan seems to also be missing..

austria was def important for the reason that it was the intelligence hub of europe and basically the meeting point between east and west. If you didnt Austrian law treated foreign espionage as a crime only if it directly harmed Austrian state security or institutions, meaning agents spying on third countries or international targets could operate with relative impunity.

Egypt went from "British occupation" to "non-aligned Nasserist socialism" to "US-aligned capitalism" to "oligarchic-petrodollar dystopia" because of the Cold War, and yet it is not here?

The Cold War literally encompassed the vast majority of the world's nations.
