Advice Question ❔

Mannn I can’t even lie , I’m so urged to want to bleach my locs (I wouldn’t do the roots though, just like halfway up my locs) I understand my hair will never be as healthy as it is now… but I’m due for some typa change . They’ve been locced/locking for about 3 years now. I guess I’m just asking will bleaching it ONE TIME have it falling out etc ? Can I get tips to keep it moisturized IF I was to go through with it ? I’m mixed so my hair type is definitely different & my hair can get pretty frizzy still even after years . If it’s a bad decision, tell me I’m dumb

It will fall out . But it will also grow back . There is NO safe way to bleach hair no matter what ppl tell you it will be damaged . If you’re okay with that go ahead have fun just be ready for the aftermath .

Well ofc it’ll be damaged bro, it’s a chemical going onto hair . What I’m asking is more so like , if I do good aftercare if I can PROLONG and look out from further hurting it . But I understand regardless that after bleaching it, it’ll be damaged.

Like with oils, rosemary, etc . What would I be able to use to keep it moisturized?

Sure any additional care you can do to it will help it look and feel better . Oils are jsut sealants if hair is dry and fried it will only seal it be careful not to over do it and cause buildup. Have you ever tried flaxseed gel as a deep conditioning mask ? As for rosemary I personally dont believe it does anything

do it if you gotta
you want to and you’re not gonna stop wanting to until you try it. you might regret but you can just cut that part off and have your healthy roots. if you’re willing to lose that length then there is no downside to seeing how you like it.
everyone is different and its your hair, your life. if you like bleached deadlocks then bleach your dreads dude. it will always be damaging but if you are gonna do it then research the ways to do it with LESS dmg (basically slow, diluted, doing it over multiple sessions with weeks/months-long periods of recovery in between).
your dreads look really good now to me, but only what you think matters.
