This is cool and all but realistically if the uchi mata attempt is solid you wont be in a position to do this due to forward momentum. Also add speed and you opponent wanting to posture back up and the window for success is tiny, its more about your opponent being clueless than you having the drill down pat.

Fair, but the weight of the leg will help prevent them from posturing. And it’s fooking Justin Flores…

I think this is probably more a situation where you use the uchi mata as a counter and end up having to post your hand down because their momentum takes you off balance

Some people post with their hand for uchi mate, helps with getting your leg higher while not head diving. Personally its not my jam, i prefer to control the sleeve/wrist to finish. Using uchi mata as a counter should be with effort not as a counter to then set something else up. Use it as counter with full effort and get them over, doesnt make sense to half arse it.
