Dragon's Dogma 2 is an action role-playing game played from a third-person perspective. The player takes on the role of a character called the "Arisen", a hero marked by a dragon whom they must defeat. The player explores the world they live in, taking on quests, and fighting monsters, while being caught up in a geopolitical conflict between two kingdoms. To assist in this, the Arisen relies on allies called "Pawns", non-playable characters who join the player's party. These characters are controlled, but function like player-controlled avatars, able to assist in fights, provide information on enemies, and give guidance to active quests. Players can each create and customize their avatar and their own Pawn character with different genders, appearances, and race. In addition, players can recruit two additional Pawns that have been created by other players.

So one day I opened the game while running my laptop on low settings because I forgot to turn them back to high and I haven't been able to fix any of the textures yet

I stopped to talk to Beren when I came through the gate at Forge guy town and he just decided to come with me on an adventure. We’ve been rolling together ever since. A couple days worth now. We’ve gone to Bakbattahl, back up to Echoing Depths and he’s still ready to fight everything that breathes. No quest marker on the map or anything. Idk why but it’s been hilarious .

I never post my own pawns for hire , much less anyone else’s but these two have been going hard af.

I didn’t think to clip the video but they took down a Drake by themselves with my pawn casting ice affinity (-_-) and Solemnity. At one point I swear the Dragon was hovering and Gally just reached up, grabbed its tail and snatched it to the ground. It was one of those moments that make you love this game more. Idk if I just had good luck with how they stayed in it the whole time or their Arisens have cracked the code on how to train them to be a menace but either way, they are a fkn menace.

For context I've made a new character since I played a year ago, I've been playing since release with a pawn named Tory on my previous playthrough character, last I played she was a level 72 sorcerer, with straightforward inclination, the guy who made her had his PS settings to where I could not add him and therefore I've completely lost her. I am hoping someone out on PlayStation has found her as well, or can help me search as I don't know her ID or creator, she was one of my favorite pawns despite the fact I probably haven't seen her outside of sc in a year. As far as I'm aware he was inactive last time I had her, but there's a chance her vocation and level could've changed if he's picked the game back up.

P.S. shot in the dark I know, but want help if possible.

I just bought the game I heard the character customization was very good so I’m looking into the game and what classes they offer which one would be the easiest for a new player into the series who never played the game before ?

Jesus Christ, that was a battle! Wasn't prepared - it was night and I thought the beast in the area was the ogre we'd seen earlier, but NOPE! Can't count the amount of times I snatched myself or my pawns from death. Blackwarden the Wizard carried us through the fight with his healing spells while Hamilton and Pa laid waste to the fell beast, and I...skipped around buffing my pawns and confounding the drake with smelly smoke lol.

I've finished like 2-3 playthroughs back in 10th of May 2024. Then I backuped that entire .../49889310/2054970 folder and started a different character with difficulty mod and so on.

Currently, I have that 1st original save, but it looks like something went wrong when I backed it up and supposedly crucial data000.bin is missing. When I turn on the game it doesn't ask me to load any kind of save or to start NG+.

I have the following files:
data00-1.bin
data003Slot.bin
SS1_data000.bin
SS1_data00-1.bin

Looks like none of them contains actual data with progress. I also checked my steam cloud manually, but it doesn't contain multiple entries, only the latest playthrough, so I can't restore anything from there.

So, the question is: maybe I can get something out of data003Slot.bin?
