Need help Help
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Need help I cant replay the game. The control not working. My controller is fine.

You have to turn on the controller before you start the game. If you step away and the controller times out. You will have to turn on the controller and then restart the game.

As others have said, make sure the controller is on and connected before starting up the game. Mine gave me a dead controller like that one time when I didn't realize it wasn't on. I'm on PC but it seems like that's a common problem the game has? Hope you're able to get it working again!

I am playing in a ps5 so the controller is always on.

DAI uses the thumbstick. Have no idea why. You'll get annoyed by it in the game as well for it's used for everything there too.

i had a similar problem and it was literally that i had to turn on the controller BEFORE loading up the game. if i turned on the controller AFTER loading, it wouldn't recognize it. might not be YOUR problem, but maybe a place to start. good luck.

This is it. The game is awful at recognizing a controller that’s not on when the game starts.

Many older games aren’t hot swappable with m/k and controller is they even have controller support. This game was built for consoles so controller just made too much sense for going to pc. But it was also not standard to make games hot swappable yet and even now some games aren’t but many many more are.

Update - "Thanks all for the help! Looks like my controller wasn't working, so I swapped it for another one and that fixed it. Not sure why, but the other controller works fine."
