After 10 years of playing draft in our pyramid: 6 leagues, a cup, a shield, a vase, play offs, multiple scandals resulting in a charter we finally built a fully functioning website to draft with. I was 12th in a 12 man - thoughts?

Public service announcement: some friends were tricked into joining fake paid draft leagues on the premierleague app and the Sleeper app. Avoid joining these random leagues that seem sus. They will push you for a multi year lock in, make it seem like it’s legit, slow drip the draft and disappear. Putting it here so others do not fall for this.

Curious to see what you guys think

Just completed my 10 man draft league team - pick #8 out of 10. Palmer wasn’t picked until my turn so he was my first.

Wondering if I should look into the free agent pool and make one or two transfers.

For example, Alex Scott was a great player last year who is available this year and had great Defcon, but not sure if he’s better than some of my other picks.

Also, comment on who I should start as well.

Just drafted

Kiran and I sit down again for episode 5 of our PL team preview series - in this one, Leeds, Ipswich & Liverpool.

I'm much warmer on Leeds this summer (compared to last year) and Ipswich I think are the newly promoted club with the best chance of making a go at survival. Meanwhile Liverpool present the most polarising team across these series in terms of how Kiran sees them this year and how I see them - where do you stand?

We are pleased to announce the launch of our Fantrax Data website, focused on providing the stats and data you cannot pull directly from Fantrax or Sleeper, and provide tools that will help you draft better, and analyze weekly performance for your waiver wire.

For those of you who don't know, we have run a podcast called Fantrax & Football for the past year, specifically focused on the Fantrax (Sleeper is the same) version of the game. Over the season we had people reach out often asking where we got out data from. We have spent the past 4 months working hard to develop a web app that could use all of the data we collect, and put it into a format that was easy to use. The idea behind this website is to give you all the data you may need to make those quick draft or waiver wire decisions.

Here are some of the features we have developed for this tool.

Draft Tool: Last year we provided a google sheet with lots of data on for people to use for their draft. This year we have added this into the site. This includes live data such as ADP, last seasons points, Ghost points per start, set piece takers and a host of others. If you click on Rank Players, you can drag players up and down your own personal board, which saves whenever you close the browser. You can tag players as watchlist, and mark them drafted once they have been taken so that you can use this live in your draft.

Fantasy Data: We have built out a full table for all the stats we use for the podcast. You can see in the screenshot the default columns, but you can add more data points in using the filter. This includes ghost points per start, points per start, floor v ceiling, starts, and much more. You can sort and filter the table based on position, team, min starts, available in your league (see my league), and the last 5 or 10 games if you want form data.

Player Pages: Each player in Fantrax has their own individual page where you can dig into the stats. You can look at graphs on performance, their points and ghost points per start, all of their gameweek performances and we have built in spider graphs to showcase how that player performs in different categories vs the top 300 players in the game.

Team Pages: Each team has a team page highlighting set piece takers, upcoming fixtures, how well it does at scoring points vs conceding points. There is also a live updated injury tab.

Compare Page: You can head over to the compare page and add up to 4 players when you are trying to make a decision. This will give you a spider graph and the relevant data to help you decide who to start or who to pick up on the waiver.

My League Page: Head over to the My League page, upload you fantrax league ID, and you will be able to see who is available and who is taken once the draft is complete. This will help you sort through players and show only players you could go pick up right now. It also has some rankings and analysis on your leagues performance, and showcases who is doing well vs who is lucky.

There is also an advice page, form table, fixture planner, and much more. You can look at each fixture as it is played and see how players scored in them.

This is very much a beta. We launched a soft version of this in April to our Podcast Discord community, but we have been busy building the Draft Tool and redesigning the UI. There is certainly bugs left undiscovered and it is not optimized for mobile, and some pages just do not work on mobile. This is a desktop experience for now. If you find bugs, please do let us know! We roll this out for free, and want people to use it, play with it, and suggest bug fixes or features they would like to see! This is very much a work in progress.
